So I flashed a bad ROM to my phone.
I managed to flash another, not as bad ROM, to it using CWM.
I now have some control over the thing however it is stuck in an endless boot loop.
When I try to flash my stock ROM using SP Flash Tools I get a message telling me that the phone is starting up too quickly.
SP Flash Tools requires the phone to be powered off to flash a ROM and my phone is apparently not giving it enough time to start the process as it is endlessly restarting.
All I want to do is turn my phone off. To my surprise there is no adb command to shut a phone down on;y reboot (dab reboot -p didn't work).
My phone has a non-replacable battery so I can't simply pull it out.
Is there some way of shutting down the phone (not rebooting)?
Holding the power button does nothing and CWM does not have an option for shutdown, only reboot.
Thanks.
P.S. I am currently letting it reboot to run the battery down. So far this is my only hope.

Yeah, you should let it to completely lose the battery, which phone do you have?
From which phone have you tried to port the ROM, and did you use MTK Firmware Adapter Tool?

Well, you messed everything up, you have to find some device that is similar to yours, like size of the screen, resolution or something, you can't port from totally different phone, plus GooPhone i9 has only one button, and your phone has 3 buttons. This was totally dumb idea, even by trying.
Anyways can you access CWM?
Did you do backup?

Yes I can access CWM, no I didn't backup.
I guess I'll just have to wait until someone to come up with a CWM-flashable ROM.
I'll have a closer look at the requirements for porting next time.
Thanks.

If you can access CWM, this is excellent news. Maybe if you have some time someday you can write a tutorial on how you ADB installed firmware.
Have you tried both 'Download' and 'Firmware Update' in SP Flash Tool?

And sorry I could not travel both

Tried both neither works. I get the same error message from both.

Why didn't you do backup in CWM? Best thing is to upload video about what doesn't work and about everything else. Then i could help you.
