Hi All,
Having a major issue with charging this phone.
When I plug it in, the orange charging light blinks every 5 seconds and the battery looks like its charging but doesn't progress in percentage.
When I power down the phone and take the battery out, replace it then plug it in... it works but only until I take the charger out and re-plug it in again.
So to charge the phone every time I have to take the battery out and put it back.
Tried two batteries, many chargers/cables no change.
I did root/CWM the phone without worries, could I have buggered something up somewhere?

Sorry nobody got back to you on this issue. This sounds like a hardware problem, not something with software. It could have happened by using an incorrect charger, or it could just be defective.
What happens when you charge with the phone off, does it charge okay?
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

Thanks for your reply.
It seems rather intermittent now. Sometimes when I plug it in it charges immediately, other times a simple reboot will fix it.
I've noticed it is worse when using dual sim + wifi/blutooth. The more power the phone is using the harder it is to charge it.
Odd..

Hi, I started having charging problems about a week after I got my phone. I found out I had an intermittent charger. I used my Amazon Kindle charger and it worked ok. (it is very compact with the AC prongs that will fold into the body of the charger---smaller and a lot more portable) I bought my phone from Everbuying and contacted them. They are sending me a new charger. Having said that, the charger that comes with the phone has European prongs that plug into a recess type wall socket. After attaching the U.S. adapter, it kinda hangs loosely to the pins and not really a good connection. My advice, if you have another USB charger, use it with the cable you got from the store with your phone (USB to micro USB). You'll be happier.

[Question] broken charger chip (micro usb)
....
"Female-port micro-usb of the phone has other uses besides battery charging.
Repair it. I bought a hot-air solder/ desolder gun, new for about $70 US.
Female-port micro-usb is a design fault of a bad ISO committee."
