Hi Meir... Please try holding the volume button the other way. One way is for factory mode. The other is for recovery.

Hold VolUp+Power together for a long time. At least 10 seconds. If it's still not going into factory mode, try booting into factory mode from Mobile Uncle App (can download it on Play). If it's still not working, you can try building your own CWM using the tutorials in the CWM sub-forum.

yes, some of the phone, does not work with "vol up" + "power" , u have to reboot into the recovery by some other app in the phone like "quick boot", "fast boot" or "mobileuncle mtk tool" and many other app, provided yr phone need to be rooted
for my zopo ZP990, it is one of the phone which can not be boot into recovery by "vol up" +"power".
but I can boot into recovery by "vol up" + "power" while the phone is connected to Computer or connected to charging unit.
u can try that to see if it work
