Hangar H18 Fresh is the MTK6572

Hello and hi to everyone on the forum.

Im new member from Croatia.

We have cheap smartphone sold here, under the Hangar brand, i think that the model H18 Fresh is actually MTK6572 by the chinese(?) manufacturer SUMVIER.

at least thats how the phone ID's itself when connected to Windows OS via USB.

here are the specs:

cpu: arm v7 dual na 1.3ghz
gpu mali 400
ram 256mb
512mb rom
2mpx camera
wlan, gps, bluetooth

android version 4.2.2

Im thinking of rooting my phone, creating backup and i can upload it here in case if anyone's interested.

From there, with my backup created and saved, i was thinking of trying some kitkat 4.4 custom roms, if that could be possible.

since im completely new in this, i need some help
Could you please open root thread for MTK6572 phones for me so i could start?

That's great to know, peacock!
Here's the problem you're likely to experience trying to use any custom ROM with your phone... unless the ROM is specifically created for your phone, a clone of your phone or has been successfully tested on your model, then you're running a big risk of turning your phone into a paper weight.
Are you familiar with flashing Android ROMs and tools used?
If not, please make absolutely certain you do the homework and thoroughly educate yourself before attempting any flash of your phone. It's very unlikely you'll locate a 4.4 ROM or official update for your phone and most custom ROMs only apply certain "Kit Kat" features, not the complete 4.4 Android system.
If you do have experience with Android, customizing, flashing, then the best approach may be to build your own with either a porting application or make a complete 4.4 system with an Android kitchen. Those are much more advanced endeavors, but will most likely provide you with the best result.
What method/app did you use to create your backup?

i used this method:

so first i rooted the phone, then i installed SuperSU and verify root apps..

then with MTK droid tools 2.5.2 i went i checked the root, then went to backup and checked for ubifs, then installed busybox, and installed the smart install and after that created backup by following the steps in the link.

i saved the backup on my pc in case i needed it again.

ok some news

i managed to soft brick my phone after testing some things on my way to kit kat

i have access to fastboot and recovery, and as it turned out my backup is not good. fortunately ive found a factory rom.

problem is, looks like i dont have root anymore. so when i try to work with fastboot, i dont get "successful" messages.

i cant connect phone with flash tool, it doesnt find/recognise it.

so only fastboot or recovery from sd card and fastboot?

i can turn on the phone, i can even call it, usb storage works and camera also, but thats about it, main menu is not accessible and i get blank screen.
