Hello!
I just ordered Caesar A9800, clone of Zopo ZP950+.
I would like to flash it with Zopo's firmware, and I was wondering, what can I do if they are incompatible (if my Ceasar will become a "brick").
How can I create a backup of current ROM and flash it with SP Flash?
Thanks in advance.
// I already found out - MTKDroidTools does backups.

A combination of MTK Droid Tools and SP Flash Tools is what I use to read back firmware....Use MTKDT to get the addresses and SP Flash Tool to read back the firmware.

And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

Why is it?
I just clicked "Backup" in MTKDT and got 300MB folder of files prepared for SPFT (including scatter file which I presume determines addresses).

You're correct rawyolks. I hadn't used the newer versions of MTK Droid Tools to backup in a while. They previously weren't working with MTK6589. To backup a full ROM, your way is the easiest way to do it (New versions of MTK Droid Tools > Root/Backup/Recovery > Backup)
