Hi....i have a Hasee X50 TS with MT6592. I tried using my WCDMA sim card in China & it worked very well, but in India, although the same shows 3G compatible on the operators site & WCDMA800/2000 with Mobile Uncle, I cannot get 3G network. Can I port over to MIUI to get the 3G? Please help.

From what I've read, your phone's 3G supports TD-SCDMA, not WCDMA. 3G won't work outside of China. Sorry, man.

it appears to support UMTS = wcdma

wcdma 2100 pls

in case you were on TD* ONLY and not TD* preferred etc

Thanks.....but it does show WCDMA on 1 sim. I confirmed with my operator & on their tech details, the signal clearly says compatible!!
I'm putting up the snapshot of mobileunle.
If I put simcards in both the slots, it shows TS-CDMA. But with the sim in only 1 slot, it indicates WCDMA!!

my iocean and a lot of phones that are dual sim and are cheap often have sim1 only for 3G and sim2 not always for 3G

on my iocean sim2 is 2G

True.....1 sim is 3g. But it shows as wcdma. Have a look at the screenshot.

It's exactly the same scenario as yours. Even we got 850/2100. I think you resolved the issue in your phone. How?

I marked it as solved but it was not really.

what i had to do was do a full reboot before each test and I had failed to do it.

but you already have 2000 which Sniper47 says = 2100 ticked.

also he says that the "builders" can be lazy and show basebands for phones that are false.

because you did not do true testing in china.....we can only guess you were using GSM = 2G

because you have 3G 2000 ticked but not getting service you may have a phone with no WCDMA baseband for 2100.

2) Can you confirm you have the network preferences I alluded to in my reply about section one pls?

EDIT

3) leaping ahead....if its set to TD then GSM only when you make the change a full reboot is required

4) I suggest you shutdown phone tho.....and just double check sim is fully inserted into sim1 slot
as we are all human

There is something silly with the phone. If i put the card in SIM1, in Mobileuncle, the bandmode says TS-CDMA. But if i put the same sim in sim2, the band info in SIM1 says WCDMA!! Sim2 stays GSM in any case!!!

right well we already knew sim1 might be TD* but

you still have not confirmed that you have read or tried to do anything about
my earlier post where I say

confirm you have read that post and show a screenshot of it please.

If you can not get this phone to change away from TD* to WCDMA as network selection then you are stuck with TD and phone is useless outside China.

OK. But arnt Mtk6592 chips designed to work with all networks? At least they CLIM to! Like they mention on their specs that they have Ts-cdma, wcdma, umts, GSM, lte etc. So maybe I can try to get another baseband ROM?
