[Question] Help: Problem adding gapps to Lenovo S658t

I'm having trouble when I try to add Google apps to my lenovo S658t.
I start from a clean factory ROM wiping everything on the phone. Latest I tried is
VIBEUI_V2.0_1434_2_ST_S658t_WC81 but also did with others levels.

After loading it I succeed rooting it and installing CWM recovery following the advices and tools in the forum.
After that I install from the Recovery menu a Google package like gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip that I think is suitable for the Android level 4.2.2 that is in the phone but I always ends in the same point having loop errors like

Unfortunatelly Setup Wizard has Stopped and Google Play Services has Stopped... .

The errors are looping even blocking the phone access, so I have no other choice than start over from a clean installation. I also tested other gapps packages and even tried to install on the live phone using the .apk directly but this makes no difference.

On the other side I'm able to install applications from alternative markets, but many apps rely on google services to work, so I would want to have this choice...

Do you have any clue or any alternative to see what's happening?

Also I was wondering if I could load on this phone custom ROMs available for Lenovo S650 phone. I'd want to have any hint before doing it and brick the phone...
Will generic KitKat for MT6582 ROMS be valid to this phone?

I wouldn't put any ROM on your phone that wasn't specifically made for it unless you're prepared to have a brick. Of course, there is always that chance when you do any sort of mod to your phone, but installing ROMs made for other models is asking for trouble. And why would you want to?

If you really want to try a ROM from a different phone, copy the system.img into your stock ROM folder so that everything except for Android system is the same (kernel etc...)

--- Have you tried older versions of gapps? (ex: [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] ). Sometimes gapps can be very finicky and requires a "vanilla" Android. Many Chinese brands used Aliyun for 4.2.2 which potentially could cause issues.

Your explanation about installing ROMs designed for other devices is very clear and I will avoid doing so.
The ROM I installed is just the last official update for the phone from the manufacturer, so it should fit without problems and in fact everything is smooth except the problem with gapps. The only I did was to root it and install the custom recovery, just that.

I don't have the knowledge to determine if the 4.2.2 Android system by Lenovo comes from Aliyun or not, probably the experts in the forum may help to diagnose, but to me looks like any usual Android system... If you could give me any clue on where to find I can report it.
I tried also older version of gapps, but not sure if tested the one you're pointing. I will try it and come back if any success.

if you come back and have had NO success then
download this package
put it on base of sdcard
reboot into recovery
choose install zip
choose sdcard
choose that package
it should work
