[Review] 5.7Inch Note 3 H9008 MTK6592 1.7GHz 8 Core
#11
Also the HDC Note 3 Rapid at [Snip: scam site], although it also only shows 850/2100mhz. They also seem to be listing a 3gb version that is not yet in stock. That would be awesome.

Ya, its from Fastcardtech and I agree about their policies being strange. They get a lot of negative feedback but seem to sell alot of phones. They look to be the main distributor of HDC phones which supposedly are pretty good.
I would much rather buy from merimobiles but they are just so slow at getting stock of new devices. They always seem to be the last ones to get stuff.

Hi everyone, new to this forum. Its the first place I have seen proper discussion on Chinese phones, as I have been very interested in purchasing one for the past 2 months, but knowing little about the market and the safest methods would anybody be able to give me a wee bit of advice? I noticed the star N9599t for the last while, and only now I have noticed this phone. (note 3 h9008) I live in Ireland and I am unsure whether many sites would deliver here, or if I could pay in euro? Just a bit baffled, any advice greatly appreciated. ThanksSmiling

Quigabyte, welcome to the forum. Chinese phones are a great buy. I would never pay an outright price of $700-800 for a big name brand here in Canada knowing what I know now. I own a zopo zp990 and love it. I will be upgrading a soon as that h9008 comes out.it's already out on a few sites under various name but the safest I believe would be merimobiles. I've bought many items from them and they are amazing. That's not too say that other sites aren't good or trustworthy but I would start with merimobiles.
The h9008 is actually a rebranded mlais mx69 pro. This looks to be a solid very well featured powerhouse for an amazing price. If the rom that it comes with is really bad I'll possibly flash the mlais rom onto it. It is the same phone after all.
Hope today helps a bit. A second phone you. Might look at is the Thl t200. Good luck and let us know what you bought.

Funny that I had ordered the N9599t which had appeared to be the best value before I considered waiting for an octa core. I just tried to cancel my FCT order the day after but they had shipped it out already; hopefully it will arrive in the next week or so and I will post my impressions of the H9008 vitas.

Also I remember seeing the honor 3x for $210 on Merimobiles which has similar spec as the vitas which is an awesome deal but it has since doubled in price for some reason.

Something to point out is that in this video is that the Rapid appears brighter than the Vitas but the blacks look very washed out to me. Since I already use eye saver apps to dim and remove the blue tint from my screens I am not concerned with the brightness of an OGS display but this one in particular may be problematic.

I already ordered the h9008 at 1949deal, I hope it is really an OEM version of the MX69T pro. Got tired of waiting for Mlais to release their version.

Same question asked before, does it really have Gorilla glass? It is not mention in the reseller phone specification.

Most sites Merimobiles included usually put a lower than expected price for preorder stuff, so expect those to go up. I agree thought the huge jump was not expected because that phone is suppose to be selling for $280 before the resellers get their hands on it.

Just in case you missed it, the HDC Vitas looks like it has a different setup than the Mlais rebrands and the screen is only 1280x720. That might explain the difference in appearance vs the Rapid which is 1920x1080.
HDC are on a role and are releasing new phones like crazy right now...and they look really appealing for the price. I almost bought the 3gb ram version of the vitas but just can't find enough feedback on HDC's products.

Please post a good detailed review on the HDC Rapid when you get it with your opinions on the hardware/Software(ROM)/and performance. My big concerns were the Camera(especially in low lighting), GPS, and if the ROM was glitchy.
I'm sure alot of us are very curious about HDC as the prices for what you get are amazing.

I just ordered a Newman K2S, and will be ordering the H9008 from Merimobiles in the next week or so. I'll make sure to post full reviews for them.

Also of note...Merimobiles have the Mlais MX69 Pro in stock for $360. Thats only $35 dollars more than the unknown rebrand. Then again I guess you could just save the $35 with the rebrand and flash the official Mlais rom onto if needed.
Choices, choices.....
