[Review] Iocean X7 from 1949deal.com
#1
Review of iOcean X7 Elite purchased from 1949deal

I was going to post this once I had played with the phone but as im reviewing both 1949deal and the phone heres the start...

I decided for my birthday treat that i would purchase a new phone, so on 5 Dec 2013 @ 17:32:54 GMT I made a purchase at 1949deal for the X7 Elite and added the 3000mAh battery and cover. I decided to pay the extra ($35ish) for EMS delivery (5-12 Working days inc. processing time). Paid and checked out with PayPal.

On 6 Dec @ 02:27 GMT I received an email from Jill stating "We want to confirm the shipping address with you:..." and " EMS only can send 1 pc battery now, how about we send the other battery by Singapore POST ? or you cancel the battery ?"

08:30 GMT I replied with a quick note to give the required telephone number and advised that i would be happy with sending second battery separately.

7th Dec - At various points during the day I tried to contact Jill using their live chat on Skype to try and find out what is happening, however she did not seem to be available, even when it showed her on-line, Skype just kept ringing.

14:15 GMT No reply received so sent another email, again confirming address and that I was happy for them to send second battery by Singapore post. again providing contact number.

8th Dec @ 12:50 (20:50 CST) No reply. I appreciate that they are 8 hours ahead of me (GMT) however a quick note to say they have received my email? Also they say live chat hours are "Monday –Sunday 10:00-23:00" on their contact us page. Sent a message to them via their website.

So hopefully they will be sending out Monday I suppose ill have to wait and see...At least they are 8hrs ahead, only have to wait till 02:00ish!
Ive dug out my bluetooth GPS, just incase the GPS is pants!

9th Dec @ 5:43 GMT Email recieved from Jill confirming was sent out on 6th Dec and both batteries were sent together. provided tracking number.

10:30 GMT Ems tracking number not recognised on China or UK tracking sites.

10th Dec @ 16:54 GMT Ems tracking number still not recognised on China or UK tracking sites.

11th Dec @ 21:30 GMT Tracking works! Tracked on both china EMS and Parcelforce site. Both say collected from customer today (11/12/13) and are being sent for export. Jill assured me that the items were dispatched on the 6th, thats 5 days ago! Hmmmm.

As soon as i get to play with the phone I will update.

So, with importing, customs, then onward delivery, think ill be receiving mid Jan! Confused... Let the wait begin!

Immynanj, sorry you had some wait there regarding communication. That's exactly what this forum is for. Wish you had PM'd me, we could have had it cleared up the same day. 1949deal checks this forum everyday and I have daily contact with them.

It's also standard for them to leave Skype on even though they may currently not be at the desk.

As far as tracking is concerned, this is normal. It's normally at least 2 working days wait before tracking shows up in the system.

From what I see here, they could have done a bit better with communication, but the phone went out very quickly. I will definitely address the communication issues with them.

And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could

I didn't think you were complaining. I was just addressing what seemed like some issues. I'm looking forward to your review as well. Thumbs Up
