I've tried all from this site and gizbeat also with no luck rooting my voto x6 so finally after i manage to root the damn thing i decided to share here.
Just to be clear my phone is Voto X6 also known as WEITU VOTO X6 running on MTK 6592 and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
Before i did the miracle, i did hard reset on the phone so it's confirmed this will work for brand new out of the box devices also for freshly reseted like mine. So if u did try out many root methods with no success i recommend doing hard reset before trying this cuz thats how i did it and also by making it that way, rooting is completely reversible with one click.
Steps:
1. When u first start your phone or just freshly reseted, it has build in app called King User. Do not stop or uninstall this app. U can change your language for the OS from chinese to whatever u like and this app will be in english.
2. Download this and put it in your internal phone storage or in external memory card space if u use one. Some antivirus programs may detect the file as riskware so maybe disabling antivirus software will be needed.
3. Go to setting / Security / enable Unknown Sources and disable verify apps.
4. Run the apk file from wherever u put it. Open the new Kingroor app and just press the circled button on top of it, after a minute or so rotating it will show ok sign with root and some chinese text after it. When this happens your phone is rooted successfully.
5. You can check if the rooting is successful with "rootchecker" app from the market.
6. Now u can use King user app for granting root access to whatever app u need and also for unrooting with one click if u need to remove the root !!!
