Unable to disable autocorrect

Hi All,

I just got the Innos D6000 and I am unable to turn off the text autocorrect.

I disabled it under Language & input - Spell checker but it still works.

Any ideas how to turn it completely off?

Turning it off is working for me on AOSP keyboard. Which keyboard are you using?

I have the AOSP keyboard.

I do not see that ''Modest'' option. Where did you find that?

Sorry, I had a Windows phone before so I am very new to this.

In "Auto correction" under AOSP Keyboard settings. But I'm on 5.1. You might not have it in older version of AOSP. Try Google Keyboard from the store.

I am on 5.0.2. Is 5.1 a better version?
I tried to go to the update site, mentioned in the phone manual but it was all in chinese so I am stuck on this.

I have no experience in rooting and stuff like that, so I would not know how to do it.
Probably I cannot expect OTA updates from a small company like INNOS. Do you think I should learn how to update it myself?

You should be able to update to 5.1 through the SD update (Boot into recovery and install it from there). Look at v2.6 SD update ROM in the ROM thread.

The problem is that you will have to use TWRP to install gapp services and Play Store if you want to use gmail and some other apps that require it.
