This phone uses mt6757cd I believe, ive already managed to unlock the bootloader.

Awesome tutorial, the problem is I can't get the stock recovery image...the company does not provide any firmware. And I'm fairly new to these mtk chipsets...and I don't even know where to start on dumping the rom

The next time, before to buy a phone, I suggest you to check on the net if the stock rom is available.
A phone without the stock rom is useless.
In case of brick, what would you do (without the stock rom) ?

Anyway, there is a method to make a backup of your phone.
And there is a method to try to extract the stock recovery.
You can make a readback through SP Flash Tool.
Take a look at the next video tutorial :

There is the 50/50 change that the addresses (of the stock recovery) are the next :

Region EMMC_USER Start Address : 0x108000 Length : 0x1800000

If you want, try to follow the tutorial and upload the recovery backup (here on the forum).

Yeah I really should have done more research...its a fairly new phone...and the company Nuu doesn't release firmware to end users...I'm thinking about returning it, thanks for your help! If I could manage to get the back up, i definitely would upload it...don't even have the scatter file, so I'll just wait i was hoping I'd be the first to root this phone lol

Some manufactures must change their filthy habit.
I mean, the filthy habit to do not publish the stock rom on the net.

Anyway, you can still root your phone, even though there is not any stock rom.
If the addresses that I have given to you are right, you will be able to make a twrp custom recovery.

STEPS :

1) Above all, you have to download the scatter file in attachment (I have made it by myself).
2) Load the scatter file onto SP Flash Tool.
3) Follow the video tutorial
4) Enter the next addresses : Region EMMC_USER Start Address : 0x108000 Length : 0x1800000
5) Click on Read Back and connect the phone (turned off) to the pc via USB cable
6) Upload the "Read Back-recovery" here.

2) Unrar the ADB_1.4.2.rar

3) Run “adb-setup.exe”. Hit “Y” to all 3 questions.

4) Tap on Settings --> About phone --> Tap Build number seven times.
Developer options --> OEM unlocking enabled and USB debugging enabled.

5) Connect your phone to the PC via USB cable.

6) Open a CMD command prompt onto c:\adb folder
Shift+right-click --> open command window here

7) Type the next command :

adb pull /system/build.prop (and press Enter)

8) Upload here your build.prop
