[Question] W200S call sound issues

Firstly hello I joined this forum about 5 minutes ago.

I've owned my THL W200S for 5 days now and am very pleased with it but everyone
keeps telling me I sound very quiet or "I sound like I'm in a tunnel" during calls.

Also if I go to the media sound settings in volumes I can move the slider up and down
but get no sound review like you do when you move the sliders for ring tones or alarms.

I've tried making a new sound profile but everything stays the same still get no sound feedback from the media slider.

Off the two the in call sound issue is the one I would really like help with it actually plays media at a decent volume its just strange that slider doesn't work like the others.

Went in to see if there were any settings I could chang in there
but having gotten into engineers mode everything came up in Chinese
and the only way out of it was to take out the battery
So any help would be appreciated before I do some real damage

I suspect Sniper47 is on the right track here.

More on the debugging side: Have you tried using your phone to record voice or video? How does the audio turn out on that?

I also read a while ago that if you get the "in a tunnel" problem, it can sometimes be corrected by turning on speaker phone briefly then turning it off again. Might want to try this and see if you have any reasonable results.

Just trying to isolate and see if it's a hardware or software issue. Good luck!

Still having problems tried mtk droid too but it cannot find my phone when it is plugged into my computer.

A:Type in *#*#3646633#*#* on the dial interface to enter factory mode, and click AUDIO-NORMAL MODE-TYPE, choose Level 6 and set the value of MIC to 12 and press SET (generally the range is 12-22)."

But when I enter the codes given for changing sound values on the call keypad nothing happens
and if I hit the call button it just tries to make the call and I get a no not recognised message.

This is really annoying as I dont want to return the phone because I really like it

Go to engineering through the mobile uncle tool. Search play for *mobile uncle*

OK finally sorted thanks for the help everyone downloaded the mobile uncle app and put in the settings from the thl site......sorted
Now living happily with my first Chinese own brand phone.

Typing in no's on the dial interface didn't work on mine this is where the mobile uncle app came into play

Same here, if I wanted just to change say earphone or mic setting do I still use NORMAL MODE-TYPE and change level?

Hey I'm a real newbie with this phone hacking I just did what it said above and it worked
I didn't play around in there, I've broken too many toys doing that
