New Member - Need help finding phone

Hey all,

I'm in need of some help. I've been looking for over a month & spending countless hours searching the web for a phone that is suited to my needs. There are so many options nowadays, it's just too damn overwhelming!

Anyway, here is what I'm after..

* 1920x1080 FHD Resolution
* 5" Screen (Minimum)
* 2GB RAM
* MTK6592 Octacore
* HSDPA 900/2100Mhz
* 16GB ROM (Minimum)
* Android 4.4 or 4.2 w/ 4.4 Update (If possible)
* 2500Mah Battery (Minimum)
* Stock/Custom Rom Support

My budget is strictly $230.00 USD w/ postage to Sydney, Australia.

For some reason the THL T100S Iron Man is the first phone that popped into my head. Good battery life also.

Took a look at those phones & although they look nice, they don't meet my criteria & are out of my budget.

I know it is possible to find something that meets what I'm after. I just might have to compromise on battery life & go for something that is 2000Mah minimum like the Nibiru H1 for example?

Does anyone have user experience that they'd like to share with me on it? I'm still open to other models though.

How does the UMi X3 not meet your criteria? It's $20 or $30 more. Come on man.

I actually just found it for $200USD but some websites say it is 2100Mhz or 850/2100Mhz but not 900Mhz..

I'd be very wary of purchasing an X3 for $200.

I'd recommend using the site sponsor. The price is fair and Merimobiles is highly regarded.

All phones are a compromise of some sort. But if you have to compromise do yourself a favour and don't compromise on the battery. Either that or pay the extra $20-30.

I'll send through a price match to Merimobiles & see if they can do something for me.

The phone must have had a recent price drop due to the new 2.0Ghz LTE version on it's way otherwise I would have considered it prior to opening this thread..

if you absolutely do not want to pay more,
i personally would compromise on screen resolution.
720p is still very good on 5 inch, look how popular for example the iNew V3 is - and noone is complaining about the screen resolution. (the phone is not your specs though for multiple reasons)
the THL T11 has all you want, minus 1080p and comes at around 200-210 USD.
and i have to agree, merimobiles is a reliable source, i have bought 700USD worth of stuff from them already and no problems. they also do a qc before sending out your pone, even with a signed qc card.
