Full specs of the internal workings of the phone are yet to be seen.
VERY interested in this product. If it can come through with decent processing power, a decently high-res screen, non-China bloatware, and a good camera (all at a good price of course) then this could be a serious home run.
My biggest concern at this point is a weak screen and camera coupled with a higher price. It seems that all “rugged” phones suffer these weaknesses (along with severely limited frequencies for use).
Another concern, as with all China phones, is the GPS – in particular if this product is designed for the outdoors, but I suppose we shall see.

Excellent point, edcoolio. Outdoor adventures aren’t exactly taken in places with great reception. Therefore, GPS does have to be excellent.
The official specs from No.1 indicate the standard GPS/AGPS. It would have been a killer phone if they squeezed GLONASS support in there.
Although, standard GPS in china phones I’ve tested are dependent on firmware, and when they work, they work quite well. So there is high hope for good performance from the X1.
This really is an interesting phone. A bit bulky, but for its purpose, its completely understandable.
