Hey people, in this thread I will review the Feiteng H9500+.
APPEARENCE
So this phone was meant to look like the Samsung Galaxy S4, and they did a very neat job. The phone weighs only 130 grams, battery excluded. With battery inside, the phone weighs 180 grams.
You might say that the 10mm (0,38 inch) thickness is quite big, but this is just because of the camera. This adds about 3mm to the phone, making the phone itself only about 7mm thick. The phone is 142mm long (5,46 inch) and 73mm wide (2,8 inch), resulting in a phonethat is big, but lies very nice in your hand.
The 5.0 inch 1280x720 pixels (320 ppi) IPS touchscreen is stunning. It is very bright and has a great viewing angle. Besides that, it shows 16 million colours. Watching HD movies is no problem and looks just as sharp as on a Full HD television.
The buttons are pretty much spot on, compared to the S4. Just like the S4 the power button is on the right, the volume buttons on the left, and the home button, surrounded by 2 "soft buttons", is at the front of the phone, under the screen. The headphone jack is at the top and the charging port at the bottom of the phone.
SPECS
This was the part that I was a bit suspicious about. Samsung's Galaxy S4 has a 1,9 Ghz Quad Core Exynos processor, while the Feiteng H9500+ only has a 1,2 Ghz MTK6589 Cortex A7 processor. So I thought the phone would be kind of slow. Well, I have never been so wrong. The processor works very fluently with the 1GB of RAM. Playing games like Temple Run 2 or Real Racing 2 is no problem. Switching between apps works without any lag.
The 2600 mAh battery works great. You even get 2 pieces of them in the package. With very intensive use, meaning constantly watching Youtube video's and playing games the phone easily lasts a day. Charging only takes about 5 hours.
The phone has 4 or 8 GB's of internal storage, depending on what website you are ordering it from. The 4 GB version has 1 GB of internal storage and 1,7 GB of phone storage, which is pretty much the same, so that you will have 2,7 GB's for yourself. I'm not really sure how this is at the 8 GB version. The phone supports a micro SD card up to 32 GB for all your media files. Note: since the phone is running on Android 4.2.1, you can't move apps to the SD card.
The phone supports 2 sim slots.
SOFTWARE
The Feiteng H9500+ is running on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, but since it's meant to be a clone of the S4, it runs a launcher similar to TouchWiz. Now, if you love TouchWiz, this will be a great function. And if you don't like it, you can always download an other launcher at the Play Store. Android 4.2.1 runs really great and smooth on this phone.
Every common mobile phone thing is supported on this phone, such as WiFi, 3G, MP3, MP4, calculator, ES file management, stopwatch, calendar, alarm clock, Google play, E-mail, G-mail, FM Radio (earphone needed and included) etc.
CAMERA
I personally think the camera works great. The back camera is 13 megapixels, supporting video recording up to 4096 x 3072 pixel resolution. The front camera is 5 megapixels, good enough for things like video chatting. The back camera also has a flash, auto focus and touch focus.
A great function I like with this camera is multiple shots. You can take 40 or 99 continuous shots so that you will always have the perfect one. The photo's it takes are very crisp and clear.
PACKAGE
In the package you will find:
1x Cellphone
1x Earphones
2x 2600mAh Li-ion battery
1x USB cable
1x Power adapter
1x Screen protector
Note: there is already a screen protector on the phone when you buy it, so technically you get 2 screen protectors.
CONCLUSION
The Feiteng H9500+ is a very nice phone, especially for the price (which is only €138,- or $180,- or 117 British pounds) If you are searching for a just-not-high-end smartphone, if you love the Samsung Galaxy S4, and if you want lag-less (gaming) performance, this will be the perfect phone for you.
