Welcome
sorry do not know English, I write through the translator
First post and immediately call for help!
I have a clone s4 I9500
mtk6589 android 4.2.9
Unfortunately, being a layman too much fun.
Now the phone does not detect the sim, no IMEI, baseband unknown
I came to this that there are no files in the directory dev / radio
ICC root Droid & tools as I want to recover the IMEI shows like this:
--- ERROR :dev/radio/pttycmd1 inaccessible , should be Root Shell
--- ERROR :pttycmd1 device NOT found!
you have any ideas or have a paperweight?

When the file 'modem.img' is replaced, it is necessary to change anything in the build.prop file? I have installed a file using CWM, anda now I have enabled the 850 and 1900 bands that did not have before, but the phone can't connect to the 3G network. I have HDC Galaxy i9500. Please some help.

Just because you see them enabled in engineering mode doesn't mean they're usable.
It's extremely unlikely your phone's radio has a band tuned to 1900. If it's a cheap clone, it probably only has 2100. Changing modem.img won't help with that.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

I've used IMEI&SN Writer on my Zte v965. I used the BPL file twice, including APDB , yet IMEI is peremanent now. I tested it with SPtool and restored a rom and worked like original.
