Are there more users who haves ROM 1.0.4 installed with combined storage (13,53GB) and are not able to make a Nandroid backup?
If i can't make a Nandroid i will not do a upgrade because there will be no way back to my current situation then.

Well, first impressions.. I'm stucked at iNew logo and in cwm if I touch the screen to select any option, it just shuts the phone down. So I need to use hardware keys. I'm trying to wipe all data before restore..

I'm pretty much sure that has something to do with the previous rom that people are trying to upgrade from..
I upgraded from ... lets say nothing. I upgraded from a bricked phone. with no system files preinstalled.
so just install 1.0.5 for now , and wait for the next update ;)

Can't mtkdroidtools make a full backup like cwm does?
Btw, cwm can make nandroid backup to sdcard instead of internal.

come on! you can just select MTP on your iNew v3 and then , on Computer, below DVD drive ,you will see an smart phone icone, when you click on it, it will lead you to two partitions :
1) 13.5Gb internal
2) your micro sd card
and this way you can have access to both partitions from your pc. and you can transfer every kind of file that you want. I just tried it right now!
thats no big deal.

pffft... they still keep the unified data/user partitions crap... can we edit the ebr files for 1GB app partition size, then change the scatter file to add the ebr2 and fat partitions and use that in the 1.0.7 to have the same file structure as 1.0.3?
