USB Debug mode

Ihave managed to wipe my rooted v3 with CWM on it. I have a backup but cannot access CWM or get sp flashtool to flash the phone. The PC partly recognises it as it makes a sound but does not show in device manager and SPF does the Downloader thing. But does not go any further, I have verified i am setup right as my sons will flash fine.

I suspect the phone was not in debug mode when SPFlash formatted the device. Surely there is away to either install a stock firmware or recovery?

Please please please someone help?

I am not entirely sure what you mean by wipe?
did you wipe data?
did you wipe cache?

Do you mean format?

2) In the past were you able to use buttons to get into recovery mode?

3) do you use Windows PC
---leaping ahead read the tutorials on how to use flashtools

flash your official rom stuff depending on your answer

4) if you have already tried all of them there is another way but it involves you installing fastboot.

Be aware that you do this entirely at own risk

let me explain a little first

If you are using Windows you may need to run fastboot as admin mode
---I have no idea as I use Linux but it sounds safer

fastboot devices.....MUST show a device name
it won't show your exact name for me it shows
mt6582 phone

If nothing shows....you can not issue next command

fastboot second bit third bit
second bit means you are flashing or over-writing your recovery image area
third bit is a file must exist in the same folder you are running fastboot from
------and you change filename to exactly what it is called
------eg recovery.img

You then try to reboot into recovery to do a restore.
