Airline bans passenger after tweet

United Airlines banned a security researcher from a flight after he tweeted that he might be able to hack the aircraft's systems.

what EFF said is very true and very important. finding weak points in security systems is absolutely essential. it would actually be a good idea to send up random test filghts for that purpose. but these should be planned test flights, not random passenger flights where some computer wiz decides to test his skills on a whim.

the airline did the right thing. they looked after their passengers' well being and peace of mind.
although it's obvious the guy had no intention of hijacking the flight, for the people boarding, it would have been a completely different story and unnerving feeling.
