dear fellow inew v3 users

thanks for all the tutorials in this forum, i used them all, untill my lcd cracked.
I ordered a new lcd but whatever i do i can not get it started. I used sp flas tool to flash a lot of different roms onto the phone but i will not get an active lcd. I hear the boot animation sounds, and later i can hear the unlock sound and volume change, but the lcd remains black.
i can not seem to find firmware with good lcd drivers, or i dont exactly know how to replace them.
any help is welcome!

thanks in advance Smiling
Mark
It sounds like they're using a different LCD than your LCD driver. Or maybe the LCD isn't 100% connected correctly. Buts its probably something to do with the driver.
It is most likely that the LCD replacement product is an incorrect product for the phone OR non-functional from the factory. You should return it immediately.

Many China providers use multiple suppliers for their screens. Do all of the identifying numbers on the back of the LCD/Touch screen match your old (replaced) screen? If so, and everything is plugged in correctly with a known 100% functional ROM, then you are down to a non-functional product.
thanks for your replies!

i do not have any id numbers on the back of the LCD.
Strange thing is that it perfectly fits, and connects. it should somehow work. I was wondering if there is a way to find out what version of LCD i have so i could do some more googleing. Is there a program that i could install to retrieve the lcd version number or something?

thanks!

No ID of any kind on the backs of either LCD screen (original and new)?

Assuming no software changes were made and you simply swapped out one screen for an exact duplicate, it should work. 100%

So, you are in a quandary. Can you find out what version of LCD you have? Well, I suppose you could, but you will need the pinouts of your screen and an adapter to use a laptop OR connect your phone to a computer via USB and see what you can get out of it.

I suppose the bigger question is: Are you positive that whatever caused the LCD screen to crack did not damage anything else that would prevent the operation of the screen?

In your position, I would immediately return the current LCD screen for whatever refund I could get and call it a day. If you REALLY love this device, I suppose you could go to another supplier and purchase the same replacement LCD. If it works, great, if not, you will have to return it again.

If you return your current LCD to your current supplier stating that it is not functioning (which is entirely possible), they may just send you another one if you return yours. On the downside, if it doesn't work, you are stuck.

Sorry.

Thanks for the long reply!
well, there is an ID on the cracked LCD. but there is no ID on the new lcd. There is the problem. I have found a couple guys with an identical problem but they found the lcd driver by googling the lcd type and copying the drivers to the rom. I read that by using mtkDroidTools i can retrieve phone hardware information but i can not get it to work. any tips here?

When i put my cracked screen back the lcd works and displays the unlock screen, but the touch digitizer is defective, so its worthless. but the lcd and the driver coorperate atleast. so nothing else is damaged.

i love this phone Big Grin
so i must get it to work without buying a new one just because i have a not so common (or maybe broken) LCD.

I just opened a dispute at aliexpress, lets see what comes out.

thanks in advance guys!

oh well, i just got a full refund...
I had the same problem. Just flash the latest rom and all will be fine.
