Hey there everyone.
I am sure there will be someone who can help a newbie like myself. My brother returned from China a while ago with a "fake" Samsung. I have managed to get the "language" changed to English, although 90% of the stuff is still Chinese.
I got the phone off my brother this weekend as he says he cant use it as it is at the moment, said if I could root it, (get the chip set, ROM etc ) so that the phone worked normally then I could have it. I have no idea what I am doing. Don't even know what it means to "root" the phone or if that will even get the phone to work.
I found a video clip of youtube about a universal MTK Root but I don't know if that is right or what I actually need.
Please could someone here walk me through this. I dont even know what info you all need or even where to look on the phone.
