I own the LeTV X600 smartphone which has the EUI5.002S stable release, rooted and with TWRP custom recovery installed.

Recently LeTV pushed out a new EUI5.003S upgrade. After download and reboot it failed to upgrade ?

I was told that I need to revert to stock recovery in order to upgrade the stock ROM but I don't have a backup copy of the stock recovery.

I do have the zip file of the stock ROM and the upgrade ROM.

How can I extract the stock recovery image from the stock ROM zip file ?

I suggest you to try to download this ROM at the link below :

And then, follow the steps below :

1) Copy the zip to your external microSD (no need to unzip).
2) Boot into TWRP Recovery.
3) Choose “Advanced Wipe”.
4) Select Dalvik Cache, System, Data and Cache then swipe to wipe.
5) Choose “Install” from main menu.
6) Choose “Storage”.
7) Choose the storage where you have put your ROM zip file (external microSD).
8) Browse your file system and find the ROM zip file and tap on it.
9) Swipe to install ROM.
10) Reboot.

The link below is the stock initial ROM.

Does it mean I can use TWRP to install stock ROMs ? I ask because there is another ROM that is the zip of the latest updated LeTV ROM in the same site ?
