  • Open Mobileuncle Tools on your phone, select "Recovery Update" from the list, then select the file from the SDCard.
  • Press ok to reboot into CWM. Boom! You're done.

  • This has been the easiest phone I've ever rooted and installed CWM.

Now, time to wait for cool roms!

Hey a.I've got my phone rooted according to root checker from play store.have downloaded your link for the cwm and set it into a directory I called root on my SD card.when I go to mobile uncle an click the recovery update part I only get a list of cwm's stored remotely and not showing anything from an SD card.can you help please?
I Had the same problem, but I resolved just unziping the .img file to the sdcard and that's it !! best regars
This was a real easy CWM install. Followed the instruction and used MobileUncle to do the actual install and it worked as a charm.

One thing i noticed after rooting (i'm using SuperSU): MobileUncle wont start correctly.
After starting MobileUncle my phones sometimes do a spontaneous reboot , MobileUncle FC or just hangs...

After some testing i found out the following:
It seems MobileUncle somehow requests SU access or do some interaction with SU but cannot display the request prompt. To remedy this go into SuperSu and in settings change from 'Prompt' to 'Grant' under 'Default access'. Now MobileUncle will have SU rights automatically (if needed)

This seems to fix my issue and MobileUncle starts just fine.

Don't forget to change back to 'Prompt' if you don't want to have SU rights assigned to apps without your knowledge. Tongue

    Thanks.
    My Dears,

    Please help me!

I got inew i6000 and it is not rooted. I'm trying to root it according to instruction in this thread but.....

    1.
While get to recovery mode by pressing vol+ and pwr buttons it pops up "a green android icon holding a yellow triangle with an exclamation point"

    2.Phone is not rooted:
    a) I found recovery.img MT6589T and copied to my SDcard
    b) i dowloaded superuser.zip and copied to my SDcard

    I can't root it i6000 because....

    a)
I installed SuperSU - it can't find SU i SuperSU binaries and install it - bause phone not ROOT-ed

    2. superuser - outdated binary notification - can't root beucase as per the above I cant go into recovery mode and run superuser.zip from my SDcard

    3.
mobileuncletools - cant run recovery.img because it pops up "root your android first" - Root access needed,

    Alternative I tried:

    1.
using SP flash tool i chose my android scatter MT6589T and hit "download" and plugged in to cable - it run only for red bar and i could not see yellow, purple bar and green icon on the completion.

    Summary:
It loooks like i cannot root it beacuse I cant go into recovery mode and I cant run dalvik and wipe out from that level. I looks like it would be some alternative to root it somehow other way, but what and how ?

Thank you in advance for your support.

PS. Please do not recommend to go into root forum because there is no alternative described as I was looking at part of this section (beacuse i cant go further since i am new and do not have permission).

You need to be rooted first to install the recovery.img with Mobile Uncle. For root, please follow the tutorial sticky in the root forum. If you don't have access, you must wait until you've contributed something to the board.

[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

1.wiped out all data/ factory reset
    2. cache dalvik
    3.cache partition
and all availabe things, however after restart my phone my button back&options still dont work :-(

I am loss for ideas what else I could do....do you calls to your mind some other tricks to bring back these buttons working ?

    Thank you!!!
CWM always gives an 'error restoring data' when I try to restore a NAND backup. I searched XDA and found that this is probably due to the data file being too large (larger than 2 GB). This CWM seems to fix this issue:
