i just ported material rom to my phone, but sounds is too low to hear. please help.
I guess you already tried settings in engineering mode?
Hi XGreen !

HOW TO INCREASE THE AUDIO WITH MOBILEUNCLE TOOLS:

The Max Volume is 160 , but a lot of people advise against to set the max volume to 160 because it could damage your phone. Set the max volume to 150 is more than enough. BEFORE to increase the levels I recommend you to write on a txt the original levels/values.

THE AUDIO SETTINGS:

Open Mobile Uncle Tools and open engineering mode.
Under engineering mode, go to 'Hardware Testing' and go to ‘Audio’.
Go to ‘Normal Mode’ (front speaker)
Under ‘Type’ select 'Sip'.
Under ‘Level’ enter these values (Value is 0~255)

Level 0 < Value 160 Max vol 150 (press SET and OK)
Level 1 < Value 176 Max vol 150 (press SET and OK)
Level 2 < Value 192 Max vol 150 (press SET and OK)
Level 3 < Value 208 Max vol 150 (press SET and OK)
Level 4 < Value 224 Max vol 150 (press SET and OK)
Level 5 < Value 240 Max vol 150 (press SET and OK)
Level 6 < Value 255 Max vol 150 (press SET and OK)

Apply the same settings (above) to 'Sip' on ‘Headset Mode’ and 'Sip' on ‘Loudspeaker Mode’
'Loudspeaker Mode' is the back speaker. Next, in ‘Normal Mode’ under ‘Type’ select ‘Mic’. Under ‘Level’ select ‘Level 0'. Under ‘Value is 0~255' enter 255. For all levels, from level 0-6 set the value as 255 (there are 14 levels on my phone and I've set all levels to 255). This will ensure that your voice is audible to other person even when you turn down the speaker volume. Apply the same settings to ‘Headset Mode’ -> Mic and ‘Loudspeaker Mode’ -> Mic.
Next, in ‘Normal Mode’ under ‘Type’ select ‘Sph’. Under ‘Level’ select ‘Level 0'.
Enter these values under ‘Value is 0~160' for various levels.
Apply the same settings (above) to 'Sph2'

Level 0 -> 90
Level 1 -> 100
Level 2 -> 110
Level 3 -> 120
Level 4 -> 130
Level 5 -> 140
Level 6 -> 150

Apply the same settings (above) to ‘Headset Mode’ -> Sph, Sph2 and ‘Loudspeaker Mode’ -> Sph, Sph2
Next, in ‘Normal Mode’ under ‘Type’ select ‘Media’.
Enter these values under ‘Value is 0~255' for various levels.

Level 0 -> 32
Level 1 -> 48
Level 2 -> 64
Level 3 -> 80
Level 4 -> 96
Level 5 -> 112
Level 6 -> 128
Level 7 -> 144
Level 8 -> 160
Level 9 -> 176
Level 10 -> 192
Level 11 -> 208
Level 12 -> 224
Level 13 -> 240
Level 14 -> 255

Apply the same settings (above) to 'Headset Mode’ -> FMR, Media and Matv
Apply the same settings (above) to ‘Loudspeaker Mode’ -> FMR, Media and Matv

Loudspeaker Mode --> Ring

Level 0 < Value 143
Level 1 < Value 151
Level 2 < Value 159
Level 3 < Value 167
Level 4 < Value 175
Level 5 < Value 183
Level 6 < Value 191
Level 7 < Value 199
Level 8 < Value 207
Level 9 < Value 215
Level 10< Value 223
Level 11< Value 231
Level 12< Value 239
Level 13< Value 247
Level 14< Value 255

VERY IMPORTANT: remember to restart the phone after to apply all the settings :-)
First which type of phone? Secondly which chip? i.e spreadtrum or mediatek and which number e.g mt67xx or sc77xx

Besides those... Check if your rom has system/etc/mixer_paths.xml or codec_pga.xml

#There are values to be edited there should the MobileUncle method fail. I have reasons to believe it will fail if its a spreadtrum.
I'm liking where this thread is going, specially the knowledge that's flowing here.
I'm currently sitting on an "official" 4.4.2 ROM that produces no sound through the speaker. Works fine through the phones, works fine when calling someone, I can hear people and people can hear me, but when it comes to ringtones, notifications, or media played without headphones, no sound comes out.
I'm sure it's not a hardware problem, as I have used 4.2.2 ROMs previously without any issue. And I've tried the MobileUncle method described above, without results.
Hi bufusbuf !

Do you have tried MobileUncle method without results ? It's so strange ! I have increase the audio levels on 2 my devices (MPIE G7 & ECOO Aurora Plus) with success.
Brand & model of your device ? MTK chipset ?
Do you have already tried the next version of MobileUncle ?

Thank you, always good to have updated tools, but that didn't make the difference.
After applying your fix, I noticed an increased volume over the headphones, which means your fix works when the problem is low volume.
But it seems the issue with my ROM is different, as in unrelated to volume itself.
I would assume maybe it's a driver problem, or some conflicting lib, but I can't be sure until I start replacing files on my ROM with some other libs from a working ROM (which I still have to find).

What mediatek chip are you on? We need to be specific when it comes to DSP (digital signal processing) routing. That is am assuming you are on mediatek since mobile uncle engineering worked. Then i'll be able to help or maybe even send u the appropriate xml file.[/align]

Thanks all of you! i just edited something on the build.prop
I have some mods make your sound good
