Employers 'can read private messages'

Judges in the European Court of Human Rights say an employer that read a worker's private messages and then sacked him was in the right.

Somewhat disappointing, but understandable. The companies data, their equipment, their connection.

The REAL test is the obvious:

Your data connection, your private account, and your personal equipment used for personal reasons at work. The employer could fire you for screwing around during work hours, public statements, etc, but let's all hope that it will never be the case that the employer has the right to read personal correspondence without a court ordered subpoena for any reason.
