Hi, I have this problem, too. I saw in the settings for my rooted Note S that a wireless update was available, so I permitted the update and left the phone to do its thing. When I picked up my phone again, it was on the recovery screen. (Edit - I rebooted, removed and replaced battery, etc, just in case anyone imagines I didn't do the obvious.)
I've been in contact with Cubot who gave me links to instructions and downloads to fix the problem, but despite trying the procedure on several computers (XP, Vista, 7, 10) the drivers Cubot supply will not enable the computer to recognise the phone. Cubot insist that the drivers they have supplied will work but so far, no luck. I have also tried the drivers from Needrom but again, nothing.
Can anyone advise, please? Thanks
