Hello all!

I've just bricked my Phone (VKWorld vk6735 with mtk6735m) Crying

I was unsuccessfully trying to install TWRP, then I went into bootloop. So I downloaded the original stock ROM.
I flashed it using SP_Flash_Tool.
But then the phone went dead!

Even if I remove battery, press and hold vol_down, then plug the computer, the serial device appears for 5 seconds then disapears!

I tried to tear down the phone to test some test points for hardware META mode... but nothing worked.

Any clue?
Hi pichouss !

Questions :

1) Where do you have found the stock rom for your phone ?
2) Where do you have found the twrp for your phone ?
3) Do you have installed the ADB driver on your pc/notebook ?
4) What version of SP Flash Tool do you have used ?

Try to use the next version of SP Flash Tool :

Hy!
Thanks for your quick reply,

1) I used this ROM : [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

2) I tried 3 differents TWRP, but the lattest I tried was :
[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

3) I'm using linux computer, ADB works fine with other phones and worked fine with this phone before I bricked it

4) SP Flash Tool 5.1520.00 under linux
I also tried the flash tool embedded with the ROM on a Windows computer.

The problem is that I can not flash anything now because the phone is visible on USB for only 5 seconds then it disconnects!
Code:
[369666.286420] usb 1-1.1: new full-speed USB device number 75 using ehci-pci
[369666.379316] usb 1-1.1: New USB device found, idVendor=0e8d, idProduct=0003
[369666.379326] usb 1-1.1: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0

[369668.134742] usb 1-1.1: USB disconnect, device number 75

Note: I had unlocked bootloader.

You have earned a +Rep because you are using Linux OS ... and you have provided me accurate informations Cool
I have installed Ubuntu (Wily Werewolf) and Windows 7 on my pc ... and I use both at the same time.
The stock rom that I have posted you is the same of the official site (I have unpacked the "vk6735 ROM update.tar.gz" and I compared it to my stock rom).
The TWRP that you have posted me seems old ... so I have made a new TWRP (3.0.2-0) for your device ... I hope it will works well .... you will find it at the next link :

[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

I suggest you to install the last version (v5.1604.00.100) of SP Flash Tool for Linux ... and try to flash once again the stock rom ... you will find my tutorial about it in the next thread :

[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

Above all, try to flash the TWRP that I have posted here ... and see what happens. Looking forward to your feedback Smiling
Again thanks a lot for your time and help!

Unfortunately it did not work Sad

But I got a little progress, the error is not the same, following your tutorial SP Flash Tool has a little connection with the phone, but ends up with an error:
Code:
$ sudo ./flash_tool

Hi pichouss !

Do you have already installed OpenJDK on your Linux OS ?
Do you have already installed android-sdk_r24.4.1-linux.tgz on your Linux OS ?

Just out of interest ... which distro and version you have installed on your pc/notebook ?
I replied to your Linux related questions in PM ;)

Hi pichouss !

If you can't use SP Flash Tool on Linux OS ... I suggest you to use Windows OS ... so you will can try to flash the TWRP (3.0.2-0) that I have made for you.

Regards
Unfortunately I have the exact same problem with Windows 7:

I think that my phone is really dead...

He seems to has your same issue ... then it makes me worry about it Huh
However, I can see in your screenshot the next error :

BROM_ERROR : S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTING_FAIL ( 5054 )

Usually it happens when you are trying to flash files (preloader & dsp_bldo) not compatible with your phone. But in your case you are trying to flash the stock firmware for your device (downloaded from the official site).

I can also see (in your screenshot) that you have installed MTK USB port ... but you have not installed the ADB driver. Please take a look to my screenshot ... you will be able to see the Android Composite ADB Interface :

I suggest you to try to install the proper ADB driver :

ADB DRIVER - HOW TO

Remember to disable Driver Signature Enforcement on Windows 8.
1) Press the Win + C keyboard combination to bring up the Charms Bar, then click on the Settings Charm.
2) We need to head into the Modern Control Panel, so go ahead and click on the Change PC settings link.
3) When the Control Panel opens, switch over to the “Update & recovery” section.
4) Then click on the Recovery option on the left hand side.
5) Once selected, you will see an advanced startup section appear on the right hand side. You will need to click on the “Restart now” button.
6) Once your Computer has rebooted you will need to choose the Troubleshoot option.
7) Then head into Advanced options.
8) Then Startup Settings.
9) Since we are modifying boot time configuration settings, you will need to restart your Computer one last time.
10) You will be given a list of startup settings that you can change (press the F7 key).

INSTALL ADB - HOW TO

Right click and select Update Device Driver Software.
Select Browse my computer for driver software.
Select Let me pick from a list of drivers installed on my computer.
Select Show all and click next.
Click Have Disk, then Browse.
Go to your extracted folder and go into it, until a file called (android_winusb.inf ... for example) is there. Double click that.
Click OK and then Next (If it says not signed, just click next anyway).
Wait and if it says not signed, click install drivers anyway.

After doing all steps

1) Try to flash once again your stock firmware with SP Flash Tool ("Download only" option).

If it will does not works :

2) Load the scatter file and Go to Format Tab ... then set "Auto Format Flash" ... set "Format whole flash except Bootloader" ... then click on "Start" ... please take a look to the next screenshot :

After doing it ... try to flash your stock firmware with SP Flash Tool ("Download only" option).

If it will does not works :

3) Try the option "Format All + Download".

If it will does not works ... I will tell you different ways to revive your phone.

Good luck Smiling
