So now I can make full backup image of EMMC_PART_USER

But this is original version with viruses )

And it's 15 Gb (1 Gb when archived with 7zip)

tonight i have try everything with Cleopatra, Sometimes still bootloops. At the moment it runs. Until next reboot. But i can live with it.
cleopatra,

Thank you very much for your effort on the koobee halo 7 firmware v2.16. i have dowloaded it and it runs smooth on my pepsi p1s. luckily i was able to find my IMEI number on my back up data previously. and was able to use it using MTK engineer mode downloaded from google store. up until now, i was able to make some tweak including changing the wallpaper of the lockscreen with what ever PNG photo i want.

while i was in the MTK engineering mode, i found many tools related to connectivity, radio signal and more. then i have couriousity of your work trying to port other firmware but has issue on the 1 BIG BUG u said, now my question is:

Can the Sim Card being recognize after porting, using the MTK Engineering mode?
have you explore it?

as i am noob in android, but have basic understanding on how windows works and hardware, i afraid i cant do much.. besides, now im really loved your koobee H7 modded ROM. TQ again cleopatra.

Regrading porting, it is too long to explain you.
But believe me, I have tried all the possible solutions.

Yeah, i know you have made it as a pack of 2.16v including the CM browser. flashable in huber TWRP mode but as my case, whenever i tap on chamelephon icon, the app didnot open (and also the SU required long wait time, and sometimes i need to open the SU first to force the pop up for Grant application come out). that is why i resorted to use the MTK engineering mode. but fortunetly it works for me as the EMEI been restored. however, being able to avoid the non function super saver in pepsi p1s ROM is a good enough.Lub
GUYS :

Everything works extremely well on my Pepsi with 2.16
SuperSU works well and all the apps into "2.16_utility.zip" work well.
Why do you have always issues ?
Have you ever asked if you do all the operations correctly ?

Just my impression from the discussion: Maybe some beginnners miss the explicit mention to select the scatter-file and actually flash (download) the firmware to the phone in the first step of your instructions. You can conclude that step, but some people like copy&paste instructions and not to use their brains Wink

@"Cleopatra": I have found that with the Huber7052_TWRP you can mount an USB-Stick that ist connected with an OTG cable. Downside is, that you'll have to do that manually on TWRP's terminal. Simply type
Code:
mount /dev/block/sda1 /external_sd
and the stick will be recognized as 'Micro SDCard' by TWRP. This works with FAT32 formatted USB sticks.
If you haven't already found this yourself, maybe this helps porting some different firmwares because you can completely replace DIDO OS.
Hi all!
Thank you, Cleo, for your job. It's a pity, it was not useful for me, cos I need multilanguage OS
Not only English or Chinese. So I had to start my own ivestigation how to remove viruses from my phone )
Maybe my results will be interesting to someone else.

Please do full backup before.

1) I've got root with iRoot
Use PC version. They have all needed docs in English on their site, so it was easy
(First you need go to developer mode and switch on USB Debugging from Developer options on your phone. There is a lot of info on it)
Then run installed software on PC and connect your phone (power on) via USB
iRoot should find you phone (wait a little) and you will see ROOT button very soon.
Phone could ask you to give permission to your PC to do debug via USB. Give it. I had some small troubles with it.
Switch USB debug (option) off and on while phone still connected to PC, it could help.

When you will see ROOT button, press it. Wait util it finish. Do not disconnect you phone until you see Root successed (or Root failed) message. It takes a time. Phone can reload once or twice. I hope you'll get success.

Now you can close iRoot PC software. Disconnect you phone. Close all chinese apps running on it

2) Now you have KingRoot App on on your phone. You can remove some software with it.
First deinstall all strange soft that was installed by iRoot )
You dont need anything of it )
Then you can remove some soft of Koobee (weather or beauty studio)
But KigRoot cannot remove "system" apps. Some of them still infected.

3) Install antivirus you like. Search for malware. Better make log of all found troian and adaware
I've got 4:
com.android.system.service
SearchService
FileManager
HY_Launcher

4) Install some file managers for root or specialised apps like Root App Deleter (give them root rights via KinfRoot)
Delete all infected apps (use antivirus log).
Be careful! HY_Launcher is your system launcher, so you should install another launcher BEFORE deleting it.
I've installed NOVA launcher from market

That all!

I have clean phone now.
But I should test it little more to see how stable is it.

P.S.: You can unroot your phone after it.
@tom.1 :

FINALLY SOMEONE WHO POSTED A BIG SUGGESTION ... WELL DONE TOM.1 Wink

@AndreyYe :

I appreciate your effort ... even though I don't agree with you Smiling
I flashed my pepsi with this great software here. Thanks for it.

My problem is at the following step:
6) Copy & paste "open_gapps-arm-5.1-micro-20160817.zip" into Phone storage

My phone is never shown in any win10 file-browser. I tried with adb and (may be) the file might habe been pushed to my mobile. Where can I see the file? When starting the pepsi with twrp, there are a lot of directories shown in the file manager but not the "open_gapps" file.

Thanks for help and excuse my bad english. Last time I had to talk english was in school, nearly 35 years ago.
@tom.1 I guess you tried other block names to see if you can mount the internal microSD?

Good idea anyway, thanks for that, at least we can easily backup and restore with a dedicated usb stick now!

@shilorancher It's a little tricky especially with win10 and unsigned drivers like we have here. If you already installed the drivers through the mentionned procedure, your phone should appear under the device manager, but probably with a question mark on it. You should update it's driver manually, choosing the folder you want to upgrade it from. You should end up in the last window before updating the driver showing you multiple drivers option ( "mtp" plus numbers, etc.). From there just use the simplest one, I think it's called "mtp device", the hit upgrade button. Now your phone memories schould show up under my computer. I'm still mainly using Win8.1, so not sure with Win10. But you'll have to use this procedure each time you connect your phone for file copy, don't ask me why. Hope it helped.
