Hello
I'm surprised not to see a section dedicated to this gigantic phone. Is it because it's been released too recently? Or too few members have this phone?

I've seen that a lot of roms work on multiple brands. It's very new to me. I used to have a GS2 and the brick-god forbidded to use a non GS2 specific rom on it. Does it mean that what's important in MTK phones is the version of the CPU? Meaning as long as you have a specific MTK phone, any rom designed for this CPU will work?

I'm very happy with this phone (enough to not feel the need to flash it). But I would love to see a specific section with mods like a "back-to-kill" function (yeah I miss that function a lot).
The issue is that the phone should be quite popular and have several interested members. Or at least one member willing to post the newest firmwares. You see some people have asked for sections for their phone, so I create them and then owners of the phone do nothing with it.

The iNew i6000 is a perfect example of how the users made it into something. It only really takes one dedicated person, and then others (hopefully) will come.

So if you're willing to take on the task of populating it with zp990 patches, firmwares, tips, a review of the phone etc... etc... I can create the section. Just contact me by PM and let me know.
Allright I get it. I don't think I'd have the time and energy to "maintain" such a section. But instead, If I ever find some things nice for this phone, I'll post it with a [zp990] header maybe? Would you think that would work? And once sufficient material is gathered, maybe a section will make sense.

The question is, where would all that temporary material should be posted... Smiling

Thanks.
You wouldn't have to maintain it. The point is there just needs to be enough interest so the forum doesn't look silly (like the K1 forum Doh ). Hopefully if someone requests a forum and I create it, that person will take some time to make at least a few threads.

You can post in General China, or Root, Hack, Develop.

As you said, you can put a [zp990], or just make sure zp990 is in the title somewhere. Once a handful of threads show up, I can coalesce them into a zp990 forum. A great start is an original review of the phone. Thumbs Up

Ohh...MaxP101...how helpfull your post was. Thank you very much for the hint. Indeed, it works like a charm!
Whenever I have time, I'll try to furnish some posts about zp990. There might be double infos but just to be sure the procedure work also with the zp990. I'm very new to this and question flew through my mind several times...might be the case for others aswell. If not, well I might be dumb and post shall be removed Smiling
Don't worry about removing posts. Some people may have the same questions / problems. By you asking, it's created an answer for someone else.

Yes, xposed and Gravitybox should work fine with your zp990 assuming you're not on a highly customized ROM such as LeWa or MIUI.
