Hey guys, so I thought the Sailor Moon phone would be hard to get so I rushed and bought one instead of waiting for the Hong Kong version to come out which allows google play store (phones currently in china with a friend).

My question is, once I am able to get Google Play Store running on my Meitu M8 (chinese version) phone, will it make my phone slower? Any disadvantages as opposed to having a Hong Kong version which comes with google? I'm wondering if I am going to have a annoying/bad experience with the phone.

Also, anyone been successful in getting google play store to work on this specific phone yet? I was told its possible, but have to wait a month before being able to get the software or what ever for free.
I can't guarantee you will be able install Play store, but if you can, it surely won't slow the phone down.

Thank you for replying! I tried posting multiple times cause I didn't see my thread being posted, sorta gave up on this forum. I'm afraid there might be like 10 lying around lol...

I was told there is a way, I just have to wait a month before I can access it for free. So, I was wondering how it works. The person I spoke with has limited english. But it seems its a software? If this software for google play store is running on top of what already exists and is "tricking" the phone to be able to use the play store, it won't be lagging around?

Pay for it? Maybe they're charging for a method to do it.

Play Store is very good at NOT being tricked. There are Google Play installers but I've never tried them with Android 6 or Android 7. I'd try that before I paid someone. They're very easy to use and don't require root.

So for people who have gotten play store to work on their chinese phones, there are no problems with it at all?

Aw thank you for your efforts! I appreciate you trying to help <3
Unfortunately the Meitu is a different phone than the Meizu @___@
I was told if I just wait the month, the free version will be out. I can be patient. I was just worried that when I do get the play store to work on the Meitu M8, it would perform badly with the phone making my experience unpleasant. I was thinking that I regret getting the chinese version. But you have re-assured my decision. Thank you Smiling

It's just the phone GizBeat did it worth.
