Ok currently use an old Iphone 3g and would love to upgrade. Came across the chinavision website and it kinda seemed to good to be true Smiling I use straight talk and would like to spend around $150 -$200. I looked at the POMP W89 and that looked good but there are so many options and Im really not sure what sites are legit and which ones arent.

Any input is welcomed! Thank you!
On straight talk you should get 3g with any China phone that has 850mhz WCDMA.

I recommend Hero h7500+ or THL. THL w100 in the $150 bracket or THL W200 in the $200 bracket.

Buy from merimobiles. Our sponsor (see header). The THL w200 is actually MTK6589T. They need to fix the title. For the price it's a good deal.
I've been drooling over the THL w100 and THL w200 as well. I think they're excellent for the price.
I also recommend Merimobiles. Expect around a month for shipping, but buying from a reputable seller is everything.

I realize I'm just echoing Gizbeat here. This is because I, too, agree on the same answers.

You should also be aware that with Straight Talk in the USA, these phones will likely only get 2G service.
Hey Wudda,

Straight talk is ATT. He should get 3g.

Shipping to the States should be about 15 business days.
Thank you! Straight talk said that it must operate in 850-1900MHz bands - would this phone work with that? I like the phone it looks really nice though. Just want to make sure it would work before I buy it...

Yes, Straight Talk is an AT&T MVNO. (850 and 1900)

The China phones I suggested, and some other China phone brands have 850MHz, but very very rarely have 1900MHz.

MOST of AT&T is 850MHz on WCDMA, but some places are 1900MHz (some places it's both).

You can TRY to call AT&T and ask them about which frequency is used in your area, but you may have to talk to a higher level tech support before you can get an answer. Or they may not tell you at all. If you or a friend have an MTK phone, you can easily test this by disabling 1900MHz in Engineer Mode, rebooting the phone and testing 3G.

The short of it is, most all of AT&T is 850MHz, but not all.

I think you would like the THL W200 very much. The generally use very good LCDs and decent cameras. You should have decent firmware support and replacement parts available if needed. MTK6589T, 8GB and 720P (720P IMO, is the best choice for 5" phones. Disappointed many are switching to 1080p).

Whatever you do, don't buy a generic s4 clone. Buy a well known brand (THL, Zopo, ZTE, Hero, Star, Gionee, K-Touch etc...) If in doubt, just ask. Thumbs Up

I SECOND this opinion of the THL W100. I have it, but thought I might replace it with a Jiayu G4a.

The THL W100 can easily fit in my shirt pocket, Spare batteries are cheap. I think my bigger screen are too big now.
I just got the Inew V3 and set it up through Straight talk and its working great. The only thing I am having trouble with is getting 3g working. I only get E I live in a place with huge att signal and I've tried all the different apn settings I can think of. In the U.S. in oregon... you can att map if you'd like 97459. I got the inew v3 after reading this post thinking the 3g would work. Any help would be great. THANKS
In some area, ATT is 1900, not 850. Also make sure your are having the SIM in the correct SIM slot and the 3G is set to the correct slot. It can be swapped in settings and it can only be on 3G in one slot at one time.
