Hi. I just bought i6000 1gb/16gb version. are there any compatibility issues between 1gb/16gb and 2gb/32gb version (do i need different ROM for my version or something)?

Currently I have stock unrooted 4.2.1 rom.

Thank you :-)
Hi, why do you need to change the rom? there is a problem with your phone? or the rom? . Also you don't need to be root for change the rom.
Well everything is ok for me except the Part where I cant use my nokia bluetooth headset during calls. I just cant see that option in dialer :/

So I was wondering if new ROM would change that.

P.s. that Nokia bluetooth headset worked both with my nokia phones, dell streak with 2.3 android and my sgs galaxy s advance with 4.1 android.

Hi, Red Dwarf. I am curious about the build information for your i6000 too.
Would you please compare your phone information with what's included below in my signature?

(bottom left button/Manage Settings/About Phone)

As far as changing firmware, I always suggest a cautious approach. I have read some ROM descriptions that are specific to 1Gb or 2Gb version, but most seem to be universal.
Just a guess that all firmwares are compatible. Descriptions may read 1GB or 2GB, but likely that's because whoever developed the firmware had one or the other model, so that's what it got labelled as.

The only issues I could see is:

* if they used different components (LCD, Camera, etc...), which is very unlikely
* or if whoever built the firmware set the system partition EBR to greater than 16GB. If it happens to be a 2GB/32GB firmware, you can use EBR1 and EBR2 from a 1GB/16GB ROM to be on the safe side.

I do recommend upgrading to the latest stock firmware if you're not already on it.
This is SS from about phone page :

And this is how my screen looks like during call. Usually on other devices (Sgs S advance, Dell streak 5) I would have here Bluetooth headphone icon and by pressing that icon phone would instantly "pair" with headset and I could talk over it.

Currently I am more than very happy with my phone but that "no bluetooth headset" support during calls is kinda pissing me off. That and the fact that it seems I can't find software upgrade tab under settings (I guess OTA software upgrade is not available for i6000? Sad )
Likely there's no OTA upgrade for i6000. Highly recommend you download the latest firmware and get it installed. Not sure it will fix your issue, but it's worth a shot.

Check what version you have first (Settings>About). See this thread for new firmware [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
Is there any way to upgrade via CWM?

I have no way of connecting my INEW I6000 32/2GB to my computer, as the usb was broken from the factory. (only charging is ok. No PC connection).

I know others out there have the same problem.

My details are as follows
iNew i6000 2GB RAM
OS: Android 4.2.1
Baseband Version: MOLY.WR8.W1248.MD.WG.MP.V6.P11, 2013/09/12 10:48
Kernel Version: 3.4.5 root@android #1 Fri Oct 25 18:28:05 CST 2013
Version #: 06v20_v89_i6000__20131028
Yes the 1/16 and the 2/32 are fully compatible.
The ROM is 825Megs for both.

inew only provides the one file type for both.

The Version #, Kernel Version and Baseband Version shows that your using an update slated as being created on October 28, 2013, The latest provided by inew is dated Sept 11, 2013. You have a version that's not on there web site...Hmmm...

I spoke to someone that had a problem with USB also, that was fixed it by shutting down the phone removing the battery for 15 seconds then replacing it and restarting the phone.
Might want to check the USB cable also, just in case.
