Hi all,

I recently bought Oukitel c3 and tried to root it in vain. So in order to downgrade, I flashed various firmware. However everything fails; my phone doesn't boot. Holding power button for 5 seconds lights the screen dimly.

But I can't flash one firmware: C3-V1.3-20161114 in https://yadi.sk/d/AtcsUf_N37H8iD When I try to load the scatter file, it gives an error: "ERROR:STATUS_SCATTER_FILE_INVALID (0xC0030001).

How can I use this version of firmware?

I forgot to make a backup copy of the original ROM. My phone is now dead.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your reply.
I did it twice, but both times it failed to boot.

Maybe that's because my smartphone is new. I have read someone has a smartphone ROM1 and upgrades work fine, but ROM2 fails to boot. Mine may be opposite. So now I flashed ROM2 with "Download Only", but in vain. I think the battery needs charging and leave the usb cable connected. Then my phone turns on (the screen lights dimly) and off (the screen gets black) every some minutes.

I'm at a loss....If I recall correctly, mine had a very new firmware, built in 2017. I am regretting that I forgot to make a backup of my original firmware installed. I couldn't get root at least with Kingo Root or Framaroot.

What is the difference between "Upgrade Firmware" and "Download Only"?

Best regards,

EDIT: BTW why I got an error when loading scatter file of C3-V1.3-20161114? The scatter files in all *official* firmware are the same.

Dear Tetsuji (I have found your name on XDA),

on XDA you have given more informations about your issue.

Why did not you share the same informations here on Chinaphonearena ?

Why did not you make a screenshot of the original Build number before to do experiments ?

Why did you try to downgrade the original firmware without ask suggestions ?

NOW :

A possible solution ( I am not sure about it ) could be the next :

1) Download SuperSU v2.82 zip and BusyBox 1.26.2 zip at the next link :

http://www.mediafire.com/file/tdtv1xdy2m...e_2017.rar

2) Unrar the rar. Copy the 2 zips onto your microSD.

3) Flash the stock rom that I have suggested you (do not turn on the phone).
4) Flash the TWRP 3.1

5) Enter onto twrp recovery (volume up + power buttons simultaneously).
6) Tap Install, Select Storage, Micro SDCard, OK.
7) Tap on SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1-20170608224931.zip
8) Swipe to confirm Flash.
9) Tap on Reboot.
10) Pray ...

Sorry I was impatient to solve this issue when I post the first post, so I didn't have write the background. I'm a newbie about smartphone (now getting much better. Though I know much about PCs, Windows, Linux.) and had no idea to take a screenshot of the build number. I should have written down it.

For those who have not read posts in xda forum, I downgraded my smartphone because my firmware was too new to root. No tools could root including Kingo Root, Framaroot. Kingo Root stopped at 90% and said "Failure!" and stopped. Framaroot said "This firmware could not be exploited by this software." So I thought downgrading the firmware was the key to root. I didn't know my original firmware was so new that no copy couldn't be found on the internet, so I didn't take a screenshot or written down the build number. Still less I couldn't make a backup copy....I needed to research. (I still don't know now)

Now I connected my C3 to the computer and turned the phone on(it lit dimly), somehow I can't find my phone in the explorer. I cannot transfer files to oukitel C3..... sigh.
Only flashing is possible. I will contact Oukitel's homepage.
