No, it should only use this if you have some problem. If it's corrupted or some error during flash caused a problem with it.
I did this once to my device. Now its dead, cant boot, cant access recovery mode, its just nothing at all. I tried to reflash it, but now its's looking or a bootloader. SP flash tool says bootloader doesn't exists on nandflash.

Please help me, Im not blaming anyone, I came to this thread after I formatted my phone. Im just wondering maybe someone knows the solution for my problem since I can see this this thread, confidently giving tutorial on how to format nand flash, which i think is pretty dangerous based on my experience after giving it a try Smiling

Guys, don't format your and expect your phone to work. It's critical to the phone's operation.
My Phone is Alp GTN9000, and now this bootloop (with no picture or logo, only light on/off repeatly ), before I try to change my rom, and failed. and can not working , including with hard reset.
I try to SP Flash tool v5.1343.0, v5.1352.01(latest), to format an download the another rom, still not respond to my phone (can not detect).

can you help me to give some advice

Regards

S_DL_PMT_ERR_NO_SPACE

Yes, after format your, your phone will be bricked. No doubt. Now try download instead of firmware update.
