Hi,
Just waiting for DHL to drop of the new V3, I currently have a galaxy s1, s2 and s4 and wonder if there will be a custom rom with touchwiz styling (similar to those on the i6000), or kitkat based roms for the phone anytime soon.
I have a lot of reading up to do, hopefully the phone will get a decent amount of support both on here and on XDA and will have a bright future.

I think a custom rom will take some time cause this phone is new but you can always install another launcher (like go launcher)
Just put ios 7 theme on the phone as it looked a lot better than the S4 theme.
Hopefully the wife will like it, if not I will keep looking for one she does like lol.
She got home from work... the first thing she said was its too big, no way she wants a phone that size! she currently has a galaxy s2 but loves my friends iphone 5.
If I could find a decent spec Iphone 5 clone with a good camera (8mp +) and enough ram/rom to see it through to at least a years worth of use then it could be a possibility, failing that I am gonna have to get her an iphone 5 (I personally love macs but hate iphones lol)
Decision time now...
Option one - stick my Galaxy S4 on ebay and keep the V3? and use the extra cash towards an Iphone for her?
Option two - sell the V3 (should get a decent amount for it as its now in the UK and as yet unused)
Option Three - Keep it as a backup for times when I don't fancy risking taking the S4 eg on holiday or when working in the bar etc and enjoy all the custom roms that will hopefully come soon

Love the idea but you have not met my wife lol, she has decided that she would rather keep the galaxy s2 (now that I have installed S2 LIKE S4 V3.1 rom from xda) providing I get her a nice new case with sparkly bits on! (£2.99 well spent on ebay lol)
So I am up a phone and don't have to spend £500+ on an Iphone, result lol
By the way my phone appears to have an 18.2mp camera fitted not a 13mp! can the day get better?

it's on every device, I think they getting 18 by interpolation.
BTW, really amazing GPS, fix 1 min, without any twiking and with no data connection, even sim card was disabled.
Yeah, 13->18MP is done by software upscaling (digital stretching). Sure the image is bigger, but it will be lower quality than 13MP. I wish manufacturers focus more on optics quality, rather than the count of megapixels.
Is the camera module (Sony Exmor RS) the same as used in sony's own phones? if it is then hopefully someone can get sony imaging/camera software working and do something to improve the noise in the shots.
