Vernee Mix 2 - TWRP 3.1.1

1) Download the TWRP 3.1.1 at the next link :

2) Install the adb drivers and fastboot commands :

3)Unrar the rar. Run “adb-setup.exe”. Hit “Y” to all 3 questions.
4) Tap on Settings --> About phone --> Tap Build number seven times.
Developer options --> OEM unlocking enabled and USB debugging enabled.

STEPS TO DO ONCE ONLY :

5) Plug your phone to PC via USB cable.
Allow the pop up request on your phone to give your PC USB debugging.
6) Open CMD (command prompt).
7) Type the next command :

adb reboot bootloader (and press enter)

8) Now type the next command :

fastboot oem unlock (and press enter)

9) Press volume up (into your phone) to confirm to unlock the bootloader.
You will see in the CMD prompt the next messages :

"Start unlock flow", and when it will be finished, you will see "OKAY".

10) Reboot in normal mode (be patient, when you unlock the bootloader, the phone reset to factory).
11) Now tap 7 times on Build number. Then Developer options, and re-enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging.

STEPS TO DO EVERY TIME YOU NEED TWRP RECOVERY :

12) Copy the TWRP (recovery.img) into the same folder of fastboot.exe and adb.exe ( c:\adb\ ).
13) Connect your phone to the PC via USB cable.
14) Open CMD (command prompt) and type the next command :

adb reboot bootloader (and press enter)

15) Now type the next command :

fastboot boot c:\adb\recovery.img (and press enter)

16) Onto TWRP, when It asks for password, cancel it.
Click "Read Only" button.
If asking you to swipe to allow modification of System, tap KEEP READ ONLY.
17) Now - the most important thing - tap on Backup.
18) Check mark on Nvram, Boot, System and Data.
19) Tap on Select Storage, tap on MicroSDCard, tap on OK.
20) Tap Swipe to Backup.

IMPORTANT :
I do NOT own a Vernee Mix 2
I do NOT have a Vernee Mix 2 in my hands.
@Gizbeat confirmed me that my TWRP works well.


HOW TO ROOT the Vernee Mix 2 :

a) Download the SuperSU v2.82 zip at the next link :

b) Copy the SuperSU zip onto your microSD.
c) Boot the TWRP by Fastboot.
d) Tap Install, Select Storage, Micro SDCard, OK.
e) Tap on SuperSU.zip
f) Swipe to confirm Flash.
g) Reboot in normal mode.
h) Tap on the icon of SuperSU to activate it.

At this time the root is not stable. Only semi-functioning. The issue does not appear to be with TWRP, but with the Vernee ROM or the way with which boot.img is patched via SuperSU.

Backup, restore, mount, installing .zips all work without issue. For these functions it's fine, however at this time we do not recommend rooting. If anyone has anything to add to the discussion - successes, failures, ideas, you're welcome to post them here.

Also would like to note that "jumping the gun" was entirely my fault. I submitted results to Cleopatra without fully testing all root functionality.
Thanks a lot for TWRP and for the warning.
So far I will refrain from rooting and will look forward to new information.
