Hey shanos, sorry for not replying, I was busy with exams. Well I've gone through the 40something pages on the XDA thread about V3 and so far you've been the only person whom I've seen have that particular issues, but then again I'm not an expert and they could've been using some geeky phrases which would've gone past me Big Grin
Yes, there are some issues with frequencies.
"Only 850/2100Mhz WCDMA frequencies are supported. That means that European users won't be able to connect at 3G speeds if they are near 900Mhz-only towers."

I've sent a personal message to a poster here on chinaphonearena and a regular on XDA, "Burs", as he seems to be the most knowledgeable on the iNew V3. Hopefully he will give me the extra info on the V3.
It's not complicated. iNew V3 is 850/2100WCDMA, so you need to be in an 850MHz or 2100MHz WCDMA/3g/UMTS/HSDPA service area to get 3g.
Here's another review of the V3 for anyone interested. Unfortunately it's in Croatian but you can help yourself to translate.google.com
http://anton008.com/inew-v3-recenzija/

Of the 3 main providers in Croatia he mentions that both VIP and HT use 2100mHz so it's no issue. My only problem with his review is that he didn't mention the the battery charging issue.

What's the current status of the battery charging problem, Gizbeat?
Hongmi with 3g off, wi-fi off -> battery last 4 days in normal talking and using 3g and wi-fi rarely. With them ON permanently and talking 2 days minimum. Really impressed by the battery.
pros:

Xiaomi is more expensive. iNew is cheaper.

Xiaomi's OS MIUI V5 (sorry, i want as pure Android as i can get).
Inew runs (almost) vanilla Android, rumors about Cyanogenmod.

iNew screen is bigger (important to me.) Xiaomi has smaller screen.

cons:

INew is 850/2100WCDMA (also important to me as i live in Croatia too.)

iNew battery cover is too thin (some reports says that its squeaky and fragile)

other thoughts:

iNew has OTG which is great, does Xiaomi has it?

Moto G - almost EVERY review ive read really praises the phone. they say its the best phone for that money.. im really having second thought about it, only thing about the Moto G for me is 4.5" screen.
i find the camera of the inew v3 and hongmi to be way better than the one of the moto g, just my opinion but its not really good+ no extended storage ^^ and a non removable battery..no dualsim and the lsit goes on Smiling
