I have tried nearly everything now!
I cannot get my GPS to Work again...
After installing the newer updated rom

I suddenly cannot download EPO, or get GPS signal anymore. I have tried every guide in here
(I think), and google'd for even more guides and fixes, and tried them all out, with no luck. What am I doing wrong here, it used to work like a charm on the old rom...???
I have tried the engineer settings guide
I have tried editing the gps.conf guide
(but cannot save changes for some reason, neither can I change permissions in the file allthough i have root access?)
I have tried several gps fix app's, and so on...
Somebody please help...
My phone is a Star S5 mtk6589T, it's rooted and i have MobileUncle and ESfileExplorer installed with root acces etc. Everything should be in place for this to happen right, but no luck...
I have found a "recovery" made by yulypis, it's posted right after a question regarding my issue, but I don't know if this solves my problem :

Does it erase all my stuff on the phone, or can I just flash it like in section

Recovery is a cwm custom recovery for your phone. For flashing roms or rooting. It's not something that recovers your phone, at least, not how you think it does. It can help you flash custom roms that are made to be flashed through recovery.
It won't change anything on your phone to install it. It just will replace that stock recovery.
So you are saying that the "recovery" from yulypis, is not for me to use regarding my issue...?
I'm just asking because the forumtreads in needrom.com, just look like it's for solving a similar problem...
Custom recovery is that for installing roms, make the backups, etc.. it can help you install a rom from sd. So if you find a rom to install from the sd and it solves your problem, then yes it helped you. Otherwise.... no.

HappyUser, I stumbled on this thread because I've been having similar problems. GPS hasn't worked for a few months. After poking through files, I saw that the EPO hadn't updated since I first got this phone. I forced it to update again. The download failed. Repeatedly.
Then, by some miracle, on the 8th or so time, it finally worked. I'm running GPS Test again right now. I'll see if that helps my situation at all.
In any case, I wish you the best of luck. If you can't download the EPO data, just try it again. And again. And again. Maybe you'll get lucky like I did.

Mine still isn't locking GPS, but it's a step in the right direction.
