Hey guys, I was wondering whether it is possible to have photo sphere working? AFAIK, it is possible, because we have gyroscope sensor and compass, and thats all what is needed for that to work.
PS:I've tried 2 or 3 apks for now, but none of them seems to work Sad

It is for my current ZTE phone, and it's the only one I managed to get it working, so if you feel like trying it, just go ahead but not without a backup. It should add another camera/gallery app, so your current one will stay intact. It also doesn't require rooting or any other prerequisites (except gyro and compass). Quality is limited to 8MP, but imho, I didn't see anything better elsewhere. Keep us posted if you decide to give it a try.
thanks for the link Smiling
just tried it and working, but the gyroscope does some strange things, I'll try to do a screen record to show you... is there any way to recalibrate that besides the engineering mode(that always sis operation failed in calibration menu) Sad

I love iNew Big Grin do any of you know a screen recorder program that bypasses the iNew logo( I tried 2 both of them just gave an iNew logo on the video Sad)
I'm not aware of any gyro calibration app, but maybe there's nothing to calibrate afterall. Maybe if you adapt it for the camera, it won't work correctly in other apps. Just wild guessing. Is what you want to say that you can't center the solid circle in the bigger one in order for the capturing process to start?
You can try this one as well, though it replaces the original camera app, so back it up first. The Photosphere option is turning on fine, but the calibration is completely drunk. Probably similar to your experience with the one Burs uploaded.

It behaves the same way Sad
Btw can the problem be compass related?, I noticed before that if the phone is in upright position the compass starts acting weirdly, and the panorama function of the original camera apk does not start capturing the panorama till I made about 90 degrees rotation?
Hah! A really irritating drunken effect.
Are you sure your compass is working ok?
There are reports that it is [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register].
Check with some app that it's working properly.

Actually it is working in a flat position, but not in an upright one
Interesting. Maybe it's interfering with accelerometer? I hope it's due to "incompatible" camera APK.

Which app if it's not a secret? Smiling

And I accidentaly found out that compass can be tricky if used while in a flip case, because of the magnetic hook. That's not the case with you, isn't it?
