Failure here. I have updated Note Plus in latest version 20180306 via OTA, I have successfully unlocked the bootloader (I see a warning message in every boot) and installed the TWRP 3.2.1, but it doesn't work. I see the logo of Cleopatra in TWRP but I cannot swipe right and proceed in the menu. It seems that the touch screen is not working in the recovery OR that the phone freezes right after entering the recovery. Damn, I was too close...

You are pretty close.
As I have already said on my tutorial,
you need the firmware 20180110 ... NOT the firmware 20180306

However, before to install the firmware 20180110

try to follow the next steps :

1) Copy and paste the twrp (recovery.img) inside c:\adb\ folder
2) Connect your phone to the pc.
3) Open CMD (command prompt) in the c:\adb\ folder

To open CMD hold shift key and right click , then select "Open Command Window Here".

4) Now type the next command :

adb reboot bootloader (and press Enter)

5) After, type the next command :

fastboot boot recovery.img (and press Enter)
Will I have OTA updates after flashing TWRP? I mean if I install the TWRP over 20180110 will I have the ability to install 20180306 afterwards or this function is disabled after unlock the bootloader and flash the custom recovery?
I already tried to boot in recovery via "fastboot boot recovery.img". Same problem in TWRP: touch not working. It charging though and the battery gets higher, so the phone is not freezed.
I will try again with the firmware version you suggest and I will post again.
I tried it with another phone with firmware 20180110: Same results. The TWRP is properly installed but I cannot swipe to allow modifications or to change Russian language. The touch screen is totally not working under recovery.
Also, after the first boot the recovery is being replaced by the stock one. After that I could normally update via OTA to latest official version 20180306.
I think that the TWRP recovery is problematic or not compatible with these two firmware versions. But the SuperSU is still my goal.

Hello.

I honestly do not know.

Some owners of Cubot Note Plus told me that twrp does not work.
It seems that the touch screen of twrp does not work.

The story :

I do not own the Cubot Note Plus.
I have made the twrp on-line with an owner of this phone.
He told me that the twrp works.
He send me the screenshots about the twrp.

The proposal :

If anyone is interested, I can investigate this problem.
I mean, I could try to fix the touch screen bug.
BUT I really need the collaboration of an owner of Cubot Note Plus.

Regards
I tried with a USB OTG mouse but it doesn't work at all in Cubot. The same adapter and mouse works normally with a LeEco x626 (also a model with type-C input), but when I use the Note Plus it doesn't even light the red led under the mouse! The adapter is new and I don't use any kind of extra adapters (type-C to microUSB etc).
As I said before after the first boot the recovery is being replaced by the stock one. After that I could normally update via OTA to latest official version 20180306. So the OTA updates is possible even with an unlocked bootloader.
I am a professional technician, but not a programmer or a software developer. If someone wants to test something with me, I am open to take the risk!
