I've seen a decent looking phablet phone (Elephone 6592) but its about the only one really about at a decent price. Am I better waiting for about three months for a something yet to be released (if so what and why?) or to get this?
I want a decent size screen 5-6 inch and as many features as I can get. Advice welcome as I am new in the chinaphone scene.
Thanx
Suggest Thl T200 or the T100S
Better wait for iocean X8 or G7.
I suggest the Goo Phone S4 MAX or The Goo Phone N3.

They are both good and fast octa core phones with mali 450 MP4 gpu's and great performance with large screen.

website (official) - goophone.cc

goophoneshop.net is a fake site and don't buy from there.

Goo phone.cc is official and you will get the BETTER quality goo phone with the larger screen from there. the goo phone s4 max is the clone of Samsung galaxy S4 or the international version of the Samsung galaxy s4 phone. There is also the Samsung galaxy note 3 and there it's clone with 4 more cpu's then the original like the goo phone N3. So the international version is better because it has 8 cores. Vampire
Cullers, you seem to have asked the quintessential technology conundrum question: buy now or wait for the next thing?

What area do you live in, and what features do you value most in a phone?

Right now we are finally seeing a lot of octo-core phones coming to market, many of which are very capable devices. The biggest advantage I see from waiting is simply to wait for others to try the phones, review them, and let us know of any bugs. Most of the phones mentioned here seem to have at least the beginnings of solid reviews revolving around them. My only advice is to pick the phone which has the most solid following behind it so that you might mitigate against any unwanted surprises. If none of them seem to have that kind of following and you're not willing to be the trailblazing pioneer in that regard, I'd say wait. Otherwise, let us know what you pick, where you got it from, and what your experiences are so that we can leverage the data to help others in the future!

Easy with the CAPS LOCK, buddy. We're all friends here, right? Also, no need to hijack this thread, since you have one already. ;)

That said, it sounds like a perfectly capable phone. I was tempted by a Goophone a while ago, and ultimately found that I preferred to go with something that was more reviewed. Whenever you buy a China phone, I think the most important thing is to buy from a reputable seller.

All that said, if you really want a Goophone S4, I have no reason to stop you. Just try to stick around and let us know how your experience goes in case someone else in the future has your same questions.

We are all here to learn and help together.
Depends on what frequencies you need. The ioceanx8 and g7 will probably be 900/2100 wcdma.
They look really good. The jiayu g6 will probably be just 2100. The umi x3 is due out in a month or so. That's the one I'm waiting for.... 850/2100wcdma.
