Are you sure to install the proper twrp custom recovery ?
I have not found any twrp (on the net) for Z1 Pro.
I can see only the twrp for Z1 (not Pro).

Maybe you are right that there is no twrp for Z1 pro and you have used z for pro
I find it strange that there is no wait
Know another way to do root tried several and I could not is Nouigat 7.0
