Ok guys, My Inew V3 just arrived yesterday after waiting for about 3 weeks. I ordered it from 1949deal.com. I am really happy with it and its absolutely amazing. I don't have the date/time settings crash even though I'm on 1.0.1, I haven't check NFC or OTG (still waiting for cable and tag to be delivered). The phone doesn't restart after closing the flip case and opening it (a problem which I've seen people are having on other forums), battery is not amazing and even though it charges normally to 100% the discharge rate from 100% to around 50-80% is abnormally fast especially the first 20%, I lose about 1-2% per min! After 50% though it lasts for a while, It's not a big issue for me as I got 3 batteries.

There's just one thing I'm worried about, there is a small dark area on the top right hand side of the screen. I removed the screen protector and examined the screen but it's still there. I'm not sure if pixels are dead because everything works and that area isn't really visible unless you look closely. I'm sorry I couldn't upload a picture of it, will do soon but here's a link which sort of demonstrates how that dark area looks on my screen.

It's exactly like that screen on my phone except that it's smaller and on the top right of the screen. I have tried a couple of apps which test the screen but to no avail. the dark area is still there.
I did read on the internet about uniformity on LCD screens, so due to the lighting some area's may be darker than others but it's not dead pixels. It cannot be fixed and only option is to send back to manufacturer.

It's not a major problem for me and I'll happily keep the phone but I just wanted to know if anybody else has some knowledge of this and would like to share?
Would it cause future problems?
first of all : wow! 3 batteries!Puppy Eyes

second : have you tried to change screen brightness? is the dark area always there? even when you boot up the phone?
Do not look at % drain over a portion of discharge. It will normally be different based on many factors. How long the battery had been sitting on charger before using it. How was it charged. What were you doing when the discharge was happening. How long the phone was sitting on deep sleep and then using the phone again. It's likely not due to difference in batteries. Look at total onscreen time. You can use an app such as GSam or Better Battery Stats. Or you can use a testing app that will uniformly apply the same drain. I'm not saying it's impossible that there's a difference, I'm saying it's much more likely due to the above reasons.

Please upload a pic of the problem. If it's anywhere as near as obvious as the picture you've shown, we can try to take care of it via warranty or discount with 1949. It could be something as simple as the backlight not being seated properly. It's tough to tell without seeing.

Give this a try as well. I'm not confident it will work, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks fors the tips guys but if I didnt make it clear before i'd just like you to know that I've tried every app which claims to sort this sort of problem. I ran those tests for like half an hour but didnt solve the issue, I'm really happy with the phone and as long as this dark patch does not spread then I can live with it.

Thanks for all the info on batteres gizbeat but like I said before its not really an issue, I've got 3 batteries.
Im interested in talking to 1949deal about it to see what they can do but I cannot be bothered wasting time to send it back so I'd prefer a small discount if it's posssible.

Contact me through Gizbeat.com with your order number and personal information. I will see what I can do. I can't promise anything. How big is it? Is it possible to get a photo of it at so I can show them what you're talking about?
ok, I'll see if I have time, very busy currently. Heres a few pics, it doesnt come out quite clearly in the pic probably because I used a rubbish camera, its just about visible. Its most visible on a grey background, in all other coloured background its not very visible and on the blue baackground you cant even see it. I think its a bluey sort of colour.

It looks like this spot is inside the lcd screen on some of the layers inside.
You should send it for replace!
Send it for replace is not a problem. They will take care of the warranty. It's the waiting that's the problem. Could be more than one month if using standard shipping. If the spot isn't a big problem for oscar8u2, much better to go for the discount. If they refuse to discount - then they must replace the LCD if oscar8u2 decides to go that route. It's his decision. Oscar, just let me know around the 8th what you want to do. Cheers.
Thanks gizbeat, I'll contact you on or after the 8th. I dont want a replacement as long as I know it wont spread. I cannot be bothered waiting a month for it to reach china then another month for it to be sent back. I'll keep an eye on it over the week to see if it spreads or causes any problems. And yes I have tested with the LCD TEST and a few more but the dark area remains. I ran the test for only 30mins so that could be the reason why it wasnt fixed but I dont want to leave it on for hours as I've read a few people complaining that their issue got worse and started to spread. I'll try it though tonight and if it makes it worse then I will defeitely ask for a replacement.
