ROEHSOFT Ram Expander is more effective than any other tool of its kind Why? The First find out!
ROEHSOFT RAM expander support via a widget at lightning speed and off of extended memory.
This way you can remove the SD card despite swapfile or deploy via USB.
Also, you can important, elementary the swap kernel parameters even control the effectiveness of extended memory increase.

Green: cache size is ideal
Purple : cashe size is too much, lower the number.

I recommend reading the "help" on the sd booster app

UPDATE 3: LETS SAVE MORE BATTERY AND EVEN MORE FREE RAM SPACE! WITH GREENIFY APP.

Greenify is a must have app if you own a pretty old Android device (Or any Android device with low battery capacity or small Ram space). The app basically allows you to hibernate apps from running in the background, which helps in saving resources and improves battery life (which really does!). Hibernating an app using Greenify does not have any side-effect. The app will work just fine when you open it. You can also Greenify some of the system apps from the paid version of the app without any issues.
Even on a device like the Galaxy S3, Greenify can do wonders and help you free up a lot of RAM that is otherwise taken up by apps that you are not using.

instruction:
- your iNew v3 must be rooted. (use tutorials on the previous updates instrudtions)
- download this zip file which contains 3 apk files :shhh: :
[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
- unzip the package
- install apk files in number order (1.apk then 2.apk then 3.apk)
-volah! done

how to use it :
- on your Apps menu , find XXX donation package and run it. (it's next to the main app icon)
- you will get a message which says something like : for enabiling additional features on the main app, tap on the experimental... on the menu
- now tap on the set xposed installer
- on the posed installer main menu tap on modules
- check the small box right next to the greenify 2.1 icon
- now get back to the xposed installer main menu and go to framework
- tap on install/update
- when its done tap on the reboot on the bottom of the options
- when your phone is rebooted, open the greenify app again
- tap option button on your phone and select experimental features
- now you can check the features than you want to have.
- now you can use the app with ALL of it's full features .

How to hibernate apps which are running in the background :
- open the greenify app
- tap on the + icon right in middle on the bottom of the screen
- now you see a list suggested apps on the top
- under that list there's a "show more" button
- tap on it and now can hibernate any app which is running and eating system sources and apps
- when you are done selecting apps that you want to hibernate , there's a small tick icon on the top right corner of the screen.
- tap on it and it's done!

please give it a try and share your results here. :smile2:

UPDATE 5 : SOME SIMPLE BUT NECCESSORY TWEAKS THAT YOU CAN DO THEM RIGHT NOW!

Ladies And Gentlemen I'm so proud to announce this new that I've hit the 5+ hours on-screen time on my inew v3 without any magical move :D:cool2::P
[Image: 33039027937415585891.png] [Image: 71356069784667206216.png]

it's been about 20 days that I'm charging the phone through that cycle (using it till it dies and when its turned off , I plugged it into wall charger charger)
almost 4 hours of it I was browsing pinterest nonstop (using wifi).
I think I've found the trick : you shouldn't let your display turn off a lot of times when you know you wanna work with your phone for a long time. (web browsing / photo editing / reading books / etc...)

Alright here is the instruction:
- idk if it's one of the causes or not , but , FOR ABOUT 20 DAYS I ONLY CHARGED MY PHONE WHEN IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. WHILE IT WAS TURNED OFF, AND I WAITED FOR IT TO BE FULLY CHARGED. THEN TURNED IT ON AND USED IT. I'M NOT SURE IF IT IS ONE OF THE CAUSES OR NOT!
- check out update 3 (on the first page) and update 4 ( page 3) on this thread.

now here we go to do some simple tweaks :
these are not anything professional at all! , just simple little things that helped me have better battery life time..
just check your settings and make them like these pictures.
I'm too tired so I just took some screen shots. nothing complicated. :D
[Image: 12070693394690773846.png] [Image: 05513651426817798906.png] [Image: 80250277478244138800.png] [Image: 84684806403423509012.png] [Image: 99560646016039721348.png] [Image: 01278637463887600414.png] [Image: 57567724909111689216.png] [Image: 54353644089534280342.png]

I don't have an external battery charger, those who have can also use these tricks , and charge their batteries via an external charger to see if it improves anything for them or not. please test and share the results
for me :
UPDATE 3 + UPDATE 4 + UPDATE 5 = gave around 5 hours of on screen time on a single full charge.

test them and share your results here

I don't know, but why do you ask or need that? Ran out of memory already? Smiling
I know 1GB of ram is not very much, but it should satisfy most of Android users.
I'm also curious about that, but still haven't met an app which such a memory appetite.
Even if it's somehow doable, I don't see practical benefits, because swapping would be very very slow, even on a high speed sdcard, since it's hundreds of times slower than ddr ram.

actually no i havent ran out of ram, but it's close to happen. free space on my ram is usually around 200mb. I use lots of social networking apps. and when i want to play games and still have my social apps logged in , it will cause problem.
I use Sandisk class 10 uh-I memory which claims to have a read and write speed around 30 mb/s. not super high in comparison to ddr memories . but it probably wont be useless either Smile
Where are you checking your free ram? If you're checking it in Settings/Apps, then I must inform you that's not the real state of the memory. Android works much the same way as Windows when caching data/apps, but the difference is that Android shows cached memory as allocated, and Windows does not. So when you see you have only, for example 300MB free, that's not really the case, since other ~700MB is not entirely occupied by active apps, but cached ones too. If you start an app which is memory hungry, first the cache is deallocated, and if that's not enough, other active apps are closed on force. Unless you get some "memory low" message, or some "heavy" app starts to constantly crash, then you need to start worring about your free ram. Until then, you're safe with 1GB too. Last but not least, my other smartphone has 2GB of ram of which 1GB is almost always free. So there's really no urgent need for more ram, unless you're some power guru Android user. Ofcourse, it's nice to have 2GB to be future proof, but for today and for this phone, I think there's no need for more ram.
In any case, you can not increase ram to 4GB on an Android 32bits system. Also, until you notice "exclusion problems", I doubt you have real RAM problems.

Only if you feel noticeable lags at closing (The app was push out other parts of the system to get memory and they need to be reloaded) you really have ram problems.

Try open some chrome tabs on a 512MB device, close and waste some time taking a coffee before the launcher come up.
Well yea. You are probably right... But right now i did it ! I have 3.3 GB of ram space ! (2.1 gb from micro sd card + and 1 gb real ram space on the phone)
I don't know how useful it is or it gets. Or How does it affect the battery life . for now i have no idea..

But if anyone else is interested in Testing this method , ask here and i will make a tutrial post with needed applications here. Smiling

What do you mean by that? If you want to say that it's not possible to have 4GB on 32bit OS, then you're wrong. Any 32bit OS can map whole 4GB. Just because Windows doesn't allow more than 3.5GB doesn't mean it's not possible. 32bit Windows has it's own "brilliant" way of memory address mapping, so that's why it doesn't give access to whole memory. 32bits give 2^32-1 bytes which is enough to address whole 4GB.

As on Windows, they are reserved parts in the address space, for RTOS, Kernel, Graphics subsystem, ... You can map more than 3GB, but allways less than 4GB.

As on Windows, there are resources to make this a PROCESS limit, not a system limit, but it seems easier go 64bits, don't ask me why.
