Hello, I own this phone since 8~9 months.
It fall into water. No big deal as it is supposed to be waterproof.
But the mic is not and I think the water caused a short in the mic's wires. (the mic is exposed to outer atmosphere through a hole in the case. The bottom of the mic is sealed with a white plastic goo )
A first I thought it was the mic which was dead so I bough a new one from China and replaced it. But still not working. The flex circuit has continuity, though so it is not dead.
So as these mics are "electret" I think the short damaged the power circuit on the main board.
Of course, no schematics available and no clue as what exactly is dead. And how to repair.
So my question is :
Is it possible to plug the phone's mic on the wires of the handset's mic ? Will it work without a handset plugged in ?
Any clues or pointers will be greatly appreciated !
Thanks in advance !
