There shouldn't be any need to turn off antivirus unless you have it set to block downloading. GE.TT delivers files in a conventional manner. The issue is that on occasion GE.TT servers get overloaded.
To flash the CWM, see in tutorials section how to flash a ROM. Process is same, but unchecked all except recovery.IMG.
