Do you know any battery factory's contact info that probably does the job for us?
unfortunately not. but in the battery thread it has been discussed already.
it seems the companies that were asked would actually produce a replacement battery with larger capacity, but you have to order 1000 pieces minimum. while that would probably pose no problem to a dealer i highly doubt any one shop has already sold 1000 phones.
and for a private person i think its prohibitive because of the risk taken ( even if one battery will only be 4-5 USD, you need to make that investment upfront and you dont know how many people will buy one from you).
the safest bet is if PolarCell or Anker is going to make a replacement that fits, and from how it looks the size of the battery will prohibit anything much larger than 2000mAh.
probably the best way here is to get yourself a powerbank and carry that with you.
for me the small battery poses no real problem, this is also why i did not consider this as negative.
I ususally have a laptop with me during work hours where i can charge the phone off, and otherwise i have a small (2600mAh) emergency powerbank.
i do hope though that one of you guys is successful in that area, because more power is never wrong (dont know if you know Tim Taylor and "Home Improvement" Big Grin )
Pettition for battery is more fantastic one than for kernel source. To make battery company need to analise market, calculate risks, invest money and so on (it's a business baby Smiling )... Release for us kernel source is 2 mouse click. So I don't understand why nobody make pettition yet. 2000 mAh battery is max that we can get from Inew. But there is THL W8 battery already.
If we have kernel source there will be much more benefits then a little bit bigger battery. I can't make good petition, because my English too bad for make good text. But the man who make battery pettiotion could. What's the problem? You are loosing nothing with this!
Hey everyone. Been a while since I have been active on the forum. Just been reading everyday to see what the update it.

I have considered making my own rom for the device, and realized that the kernal is not open source. Don't have the time to do it anymore, but found that the kernal was leaked, and available below. Hope it is somewhat new and can be used. Would be awesome to have a custom build rom from scratch.

Thanks. But the sources from the the link you posted can be found in [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] too (together with the sources for many other phones). The files are compressed much better than the ones on Mega, so the download times are faster too.
