Hello everybody,

a few days ago I received my STAR H9008 and I'm totally amazed! Lub

I really enjoy reading about it here! It's nice to see other people sharing the same fascination. Thumbs Up

Thank you and many greetings from Germany
Welcome to the forums, horst! Glad you found us here!

Where did you buy your H9008 from? Was it a good overall experience? Do you have any plans with your phone as far as rooting, etc go?

Things I have done so far
I wanted to perform kind of a "battery benchmark" - but how long the battery lasts depends on how you use the device. So there is no real comparable data. For me the battery lasts roughly a day (reading mails, chat, SMS, surf the web).
I love that you're not afraid to tinker! Just barely got it and have already done multiple flashes.
How did you like the MLAIS ROM compared to the stock ROM?

I also have to commend your post for being one of the most informative, best written, and most organized posts I've yet to see on CPA. We're really lucky to have you here, horst! Hope you stick around!
(2014-03-07, 05:09)WuddaWaste Wrote: [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] was just too "colourful" for my liking. I was overhelmed by a bunch of notifications - everything was blinking... It seemed to me that a lot of needless apps are preinstalled!?

Personally I prefer vanilla Android like I'm used from my old Nexus S and my Nexus 7 (2012). So I flashed back to the [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] - with a few exceptions this is "pure Android" Wink

But perhaps I will reconsider this decision because the Mlais MX69T Pro for now is getting frequent updates whereas the Star H9008 is not. It would be nice to get Android 4.3 as soon as possible Big Grin

Hi Horst,

I thank you for the interesting answer.

With private messages it does not work yet. I do not have permission.

The CWM I have already attempted to install, but without result.

It does not start in recovery, but will skip this completely.

Unfortunately, the version that is installed on the system update is in Chinese language.

and another battery it will probably not give ...

I thought I was the only one with a Mlais. ;-)

Grettings,
