Okay trac006, thanks. I misunderstood you. I thought you meant the message was in addition to the error, not the actual error itself. Usually if there's an error, you should see some sort of error code. SP Flash Tool will always send this warning when choosing 'Download', but by clicking okay/continue it should go on ahead and flash what you've selected assuming you've got drivers installed correctly, etc...
This guide was written before all the quick roots came out. Thus it was impossible to flash recovery via Mobile Uncle, because you needed to be rooted first.
